The best Ashrahs in video games 💜

Whether the game was good or... not so much... I had fun with Ashrah in all the worlds I took her to, but appearance-wise? Baldur's Gate 3 (Mystic Ashrah AU in particular) and Nioh 3 are incredible!

I was very surprised and happy that I could make her look so damn good in BG3 with the limited face presets, but as fate would have it, one of those presets fit her so, so well! And Nioh 3 was another incredible surprise. If I could've given her fully purple eyes, this would've been perfect!

Gameplay-wise, these two are fantastic as well, but I do prefer others (at least I prefer others over Nioh 3. Mystic Ashrah is so good, too!). But that's for another post!

Yes, that's the name I gave the outfit. Fun fact: the Barong is sometimes depicted as a tiger, so even though Ashrah is more associated with the lion, a tiger also works! 🔥

Rooks Ashrah and Sareena!

As I promised to @therivercrow, here are some pics of Ashrah and Sareena as Rook in Dragon Age: The Veilguard!

They both come from my Chronicles of the Realms mythology, and whenever I can, I bring them (or at least Ashrah) into the video games that I play, and of course it couldn't be different here :3

Ashrah

I don't know much about the lore of DA, so I didn't create detailed stories for their AUs or anything. For Ashrah, though, I like to imagine that yes, she's very much still a demon, and one who joined the Grey Watch as a valuable soldier in the fight against the Blight and the Archdemons since she has a... unique nature!

Sareena

Sareena is even trickier because, in her CotR lore, she's a Nether-Touched (kind of like a tiefling), and here... I kind of like the idea she may be a Qunari, but again, I didn't dive much deep into the DA lore to figure out specifics. I mostly just wanted to have fun with these characters because I do like the combat system in the game, and the tone of it really fits Sareena better than Ashrah—she is, and that doesn't change, a very charismatic trickster! I should probably finish her campaign someday, too 😅

Ashrah... drunk? 🤨

In the Where Winds Meet AU, Ashrah is still a demon, of course, but with a small, huge difference: she actually comes into being as a wee baby demon! 🥺

Having been raised by Uncle Jiang in the Mortal Realm, she has far more knowledge of humankind than in her Chronicles of the Realms canon, and that includes knowledge of alcohol since she spends a LOT of time with Aunt Han in Blissful Retreat and all the Parting Tears there, which she developed a taste for!

However… Ashrah CAN'T get drunk. Her demonic organism just won't allow it. But through observing drunken mortals and then coming to learn about the drunken styles of martial arts, she has developed her own "drunken dance," which she incorporates into her martial training and some fighting moves! 😄😈🔥

(Damn it… now I want to write about WWM Ashrah's childhood.)

Today, I discovered there's a mod in Baldur's Gate 3 that adds the Mortal Kombat classic (and skimpy) ninja outfit to the game as well as Kitana's fans and Mileena's sais.

And what started as just a fun cosplay session with Monk Ashrah wearing the outfit and wielding the weapons...

... became something more as I started a proper Kitana campaign because damn, the fans are really fun to play with!

I'll likely replace the outfit with something that better suits Chronicles of the Realms' Kitana, but yeah, the weapon is really cool! (I also tried to give Mileena's outfit to Astarion, but the cowards turn it into a normal leather outfit when giving it to male characters).
