── ( 𝒍. ) lohen would wake the moment he felt you jolt upright beside him, years of instinct making him alert before he was even fully awake. Rather than overwhelming you with questions, he'd immediately check whether you were injured, one hand settling carefully against your back while the other gently brushed your hair away from your face to see you clearly in the darkness.
If your breathing remained uneven, he'd quietly guide you through slowing it, keeping his own voice calm and measured even if worry had already begun creeping into his chest. He wouldn't dismiss it as "just a dream." Instead, he'd stay awake for as long as you needed, listening if you wanted to talk or simply sitting beside you in silence until the fear finally loosened its grip.
Your breathing came in quick, uneven gasps as you suddenly sat upright. Before panic could fully settle in, Lohen was already beside you, his hand instinctively finding the middle of your back. "...Hey hey, look at me." he murmured, still half-awake, gently tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear. "You're here." His thumb brushed slow circles against your back as he waited for your breathing to match the rhythm of his own. "You’re okay."
── ( 𝒘. ) wriothesley wouldn't startle easily, but the sound of you waking in obvious distress would have him sitting up almost immediately. He'd recognize the signs before you managed to say a word, quietly moving closer without crowding you, giving you enough space to breathe while making it clear he wasn't going anywhere.
His first priority would be grounding you in the present, offering you water, checking whether you wanted the lights on, and encouraging you to focus on his voice rather than whatever nightmare still lingered in your mind. Even if you insisted you were alright, he'd remain awake beside you until he was convinced you genuinely were.
You covered your face with trembling hands, your breathing refusing to slow. Wriothesley quietly reached over to switch on the bedside lamp, bathing the room in a warm glow before handing you a glass of water. "Easy." His voice remained low and steady. "You're safe." After you took a few shaky breaths, he rested a reassuring hand over yours. "Bad dream?" When you gave the smallest nod, he offered a faint smile. "...It's over now." He gave your hand a gentle squeeze. "Whatever happened in that dream stays there. You're here with me."
── ( 𝒍. ) lyney would notice the change almost immediately. Even in sleep, he'd be surprisingly attentive to the smallest shifts in your breathing or movement. The moment you woke in a panic, he'd gently pull you closer before you had the chance to convince yourself you were alone, wrapping an arm securely around you without making you feel trapped.
He'd speak softly, trying to replace the frightening images still lingering in your mind with something familiar and comforting, occasionally slipping in a lighthearted joke if he sensed it might coax even the faintest smile from you. Whether you wanted to talk about the nightmare or forget it entirely, he'd stay awake with you for the rest of the night if that's what you needed.
You woke with a sharp breath, your shoulders shaking as you struggled to separate the nightmare from reality. Before you could spiral further, Lyney's hand gently found yours beneath the blankets. "...Hey," he whispered, immediately sitting up beside you. "Look at me." Once your eyes finally met his, he smiled softly, lifting your joined hands to press a gentle kiss against your knuckles. "There you are..." His shoulders visibly relaxed once your eyes finally focused on him. "You had me worried for a second." He let out a quiet laugh before giving your hand another gentle squeeze. "Come here. I've got you."
── ( 𝒏. ) neuvilette would respond with remarkable composure, though the concern in his eyes would be impossible to hide. Waking to find you frightened would immediately draw his full attention, his movements slow and deliberate so as not to overwhelm you further.
He wouldn't assume physical comfort was what you wanted; instead, he'd first search your expression, allowing you to decide whether you wished to be held. If you leaned toward him, however, he'd wrap you in a gentle embrace without hesitation, quietly reminding you that the nightmare had ended and that nothing would reach you while he was there. His presence alone would become an anchor, steady and unwavering until your breathing finally settled.
The room remained silent except for your uneven breathing. Neuvillette had already risen, one hand resting lightly against your shoulder as he studied your face with quiet concern. "...It was just a dream," he said gently, waiting until your gaze slowly found his. "Take your time." After a long moment, you instinctively leaned against him. Without another word, he drew you into his arms, one hand slowly rubbing your back in soothing circles. "You are safe now," he murmured.
