I'm lateeee this was meant to be finished and posted waaay sooner, it's actually past midnight for me here so technically just after valentines 😭 I had such writers block on this, I knew I had to do a ship with Sayaka, Kaede, or Ibuki but what? Decided to go with Sayaka and from there I was like... Komaru/Sayaka would be neat with this prompt soo... I honestly didn't think of this at the time, but I could also have done Sayaka/Ayaka, which I'm kind of kicking myself for not realizing earlier ahaha... the other idea I had was Kaede playing for Maki's orphanage like she promised in her FTEs, but I had already done Kaemaki? And I didn't know where to start with that one. (Plus that would mean I wouldn't be able to post it here, since Kaemaki isn't a rarepair lol.) Soooo...! You get Sayaka and Komaru instead. Maybe have partially been influenced by reading @goshdangronpa 's Sayaka/Komaru fic? I think that put me in a Mood to write these two. I adore them...

I'm absolutely shocked that you've found nothing for Komaru/Sayaka. You'd think a ship between a famous person and her biggest fan would be such an obvious draw in a fandom, especially when Makoto gives them an obvious way to connect! How about a ficlet with these two?

She's interrupted by a peck on the bridge of her nose, Sayaka leaning up from her spot on the bed to cradle Komaru's face in her hands. "Don't worry, Koko," she croons, smiling. "You're the most official Sayaker there is."

Komaru is canonically a Sayaker and evvery single interaction they have in UTDP and Danganronpa S are just Komaru freaking out and getting nervous about talking to her crush. That's so cute yall

In reverse Sayaka's whole motivation is to make people smile through her work as an idol and it's very obvious that she takes a lot of validation in how much joy Komaru takes in her work

Idk fan/artist relationships can be really rough in real life but in a work of fiction? Cute! There's a wish fulfillment aspect here and that's valid

Polaris/Toko

I'm going to be honest. I don't understand why people ship Togafuka. It does not appeal to me. But for people who do ship it. Whatever reasons you have. Those apply to Polaris/Toko with the ADDED BONUS of getting a trans girl wlw

I said this with Polaris/Jack too but again the Fukawa system has such deeply repressed liking for girls the moment Polaris came out it would be a whole new world. I can like Ms. Togami AND girls??? incredible. a new world

🍑 Komaru/Sayaka, Chisa/Hiroko and Sister/Angie

Sayaka/Komaru: Hell yeah. Everyone loves a ship where you can imagine an AMV set to a Lady Gaga song (in this case, Paparazzi)

Chisa/Hiroko: Neat. Hard to see happening because of the stupid decisions about Chisa's age, and really only around because they're the only two adult women we see other than The Toxicandies, but points because it's so rare to see either of them in a F/F ship in general

Sister/Angie: Neat. If Korekiyo isn't wrong about the whole "Sister wants sacrifices" thing, they've got a real nice system going where they can get double the benefit from a single sacrifice (blood AND friends!)
