Day 10 - Top 5 favourite Catherine engagements
This was originally Top ONE favourite engagement but I literally couldn't do it. I also ruled out weird engagements - engagements on tours, one off engagements, anniversary events - and focused on the mundane, day-to-day work. Catherine's visit to the Hampton Court Magic Circle came on a day where she did three engagements and was my favourite engagement of the day. Catherine opened a children's garden, played with the children, and I want to see that dragon in real life. The annual King's Cup Regatta that never happened again is my favourite first of a series events that only happened once. But it was a good once. Seeing the kids with their friends and the Middletons was great fun but watching Catherine lose was even better. The RAF Christmas Party was such a genius idea and I'm sad it only happened once. On top of that, the entire aesthetic of the event - from Catherine's outfit to the fake snow and snowball fight - is etched in my memory. Catherine's visited the Chelsea Flower Show more than once in 2019 but only one of them counts as a "normal" engagement in my head. The daytime visit was incredibly fun, with Catherine touring the flower show, showing off her garden and engaging with children. They played in streams, built a bonfire and Catherine was able to visit other gardens, alongside the children. Finally, the Sayers Croft Forest School engagement is so special to me. Firstly, I was in hospital because I broke my foot that day so I was actually able to watch it in live time which never happens. Second, it was her big return to work after Louis' birth. This engagement also has some of my favourite little moments - hugs, laughing and, when asked why there were cameras, Catherine replied, "They're here for you!"
