It’s almost time for our documentary @savingjawsmovie to be released but until then we want to start a #SavingJawsChallenge! Everyday we challenge you to eliminate something from your everyday use. Today we are going to start with straws. Its no secret that single use plastic such as straws is having a negative effect on our environment and specifically marine species. Plastic straws are ingested daily by marine animals and are one of the top ten items of plastic debris found on beach clean ups. We want you to #SayNoToTheStraw and #StopSucking as continued plastic use such as plastic straws has detrimental affects to marine life and ultimately the ecosystems organisms support, including mankind. Over 500 million straws are used daily in the US and we want to help eliminate single use plastic as a convenience.
