Frage: Hat jemand Erfahrung damit, den Geschlechtseintrag zu streichen, aber den Namen gleich zu belassen?

Und kann mir sagen, was das für einen Rattenschwanz an geänderten Dokumenten nach sich zieht?

Alles was ich finde ist immer so weitgreifend, um alle Eventualitäten abzudecken.

The horrors have begun; just 2 months after the first gender marker and name changes under the new german law (eliminating going to court and getting psych evals) started being processed, a known Neonazi has changed his papers in order to evade/delay his prison sentence. There has been a push by centre(-right) parties to go back on the law again, even before now, so this incident will only add fuel to that debate.

I am gender!!!

The appointment was rather funny tbh. The lady asked me “so what gender should it be?” when filling out the form.

Then she explained to me that if a war breaks out, I won’t get enlisted even after the name/gender change cause apparently I’m still a woman.

Also, if I happened to birth a child, I’d legally be their mother and they’d use my deadname. So apparently you can be two genders at once in Germany if you play your cards right.

I even have my second appointment in November already, I know where to go and what to bring and what happens then. Now I just have to convince my parents to give me my birth certificate.

Send off the form to change my name and gender today!! Now I have to wait three months and then it's official (hopefully). This is so crazy!!

i will actually be able to change my name and gender marker the first of november. i can apply the first of august. i am so happy i could cry. this feels unreal.

Not sure who’s gonna read this but Germany passed a law today allowing for recognition of self identified gender identity

The current law is kinda half baked (3 month wait time etc.) but it's important and a big step in the right direction and still makes it easier for everyone affected

As a German citizen it also affects me so I have a real reason to party this weekend :)
