There was a theory I heard about Modula being piloted by a Mutraddi. I thought it would be interesting that Modula collaborated with the symbiote/parasite instead of just being a mindless puppet.
The middle figure is what healthy symbiosis is supposed to look like (complete meld of body and personality, kind of like the Trill).

Summary: An AU where everything is the same but Lance was put in the care of Modula and finally snapped atter the kingdom repeatedly turned against him. However, he is still sent to Earth by his honorary-uncle, for reasons unknown yet.
Ever notice that the King and Co seem to blame like 99% of Lance's "behavior issues" on Edward or Edward being dead?
