This tattoo is my little shout out to my home state of Michigan. As all other Michiganders I am enthusiastic about the fact that my home state is shaped like a mitten and I wanted that shape to be an outline of a tattoo. The inside of the mitten is the three things I miss most about home now that I live in Chicago: the stars, the trees and bonfires. I added an apple blossom, the state flower of Michigan, as a little extra feminine touch to the outline @toritequila . . Was rewatching Sorcerer In Love for a fic I'm working on when I had the sudden urge to make an edit of Amanda and turn her into the my OC Miwa/Rebekka, whose appearance I based heavily on Amanda for the sake of the plot of SBtN. I used that one prototype version of Amanda that gave her brown hair instead of navy blue as a base, then changed the skin tone and eye color. I also added some moles while also adjusting the lip color so it matches more with Miwa/Rebekka's complexion.

Art is not my strong suit, but I'm pretty proud of how this edit turned out! Now I have a good visual of how Miwa/Rebekka would look in the show's art style 🥰

(2/2) This took us down our next most obvious path. Family. We cut to what our parents say at every dinner for every toast as long as we could remember: a simple, “To Family”. It was the most beautiful way we could think to honor the family our parents built. We requested the tattoo be in Italian to honor our heritage, and honestly, make it look less boring. . . So what massive event took place July 14, 2011? Since we didn’t go through with our deathly hallows idea, we thought it only proper to get our tattoos done before heading to the midnight premier of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2. I’m 66 years old and got my first tattoo when I was in my early forties while on vacation in Florida. I now have 4: a crescent moon and 2 stars on my hip, a hibiscus flower on my right shoulder, a Parrot Head on my right ankle (for my bird and for Jimmy Buffett) and the kanji for my grandson, Akira’s name (his Daddy is from Japan and his name means The Light). My daughter and I have gone in twice together to get inked. I think my inking days are over; I really wanted to get my 3 grandchildren’s names tattooed around my ankle, but that little tattoo hurt worse that any of the others!
