What do you think would happen if the Black King is beaten and/or the sceptre destroyed before the reckoning can begin?

Actually nothing bad, as we’ve seen in the Alpha Session, the Reckoning is not necessary to send Meteors back to Earth, you just gotta fling them Skaiawards, so, so long as the White Sceptre isn’t used to start it up, that should be safe.
