Hi! why do you think Jude is Light and not Void? I think the whole "casting doubts on what's considered understood" is pretty accurate of his concpiracy theories obssession to name only one thing.

But Jude isn’t conspiracy theorizing for the sake of enjoying the conspiracy itself, which would be Void player territory, instead he’s trying to understand 2 major things:

1) what the heck is up with those weird guys in the woods he sees all the time

2) what the heck is up with the weird snake portal in the attic

Neither of those things is any sort of “him trying to cast doubt on what’s considered understood” because neither of those things is any sort of understood by anyone, both are them are actually pretty secret in nature?

like, he’s not trying to tear down other people’s ideas about those things, he’s trying to piece together what he considers a puzzle to solve because of his intense burning need to know about these things

Hi! I'm currently in an arguement on reddit about classpect theory. The person I'm arguing with has a very different way of seeing things than me (and you, since I support your theory) and even though I don't subscribe to most of it, they made me doubt one paticular thing. This thing being the concept of "application". They say it doesn't make sense since, in a way, every classes "apply" their aspect in order to execute their function. Ex: They say that Rose applied Light to see into the cueball

hi there, someone else came to me with the same question and my response then is basically that of course every person can technically manually do all the functions of their aspect, but their class’s function isn’t just what they do, it’s specifically which of the 6 main functions that they Excel in doing

Saying that Knights and Pages Excel in the Function of Application/Exploitation is not the same as saying every other class cannot apply/exploit their aspect

just like saying Mages and Seers Excel in the Function of Understanding/Information is not the same as saying every other class is entirely ignorant of their what their aspect is (Aranea the Sylph says hi) nor is it completely hardwalling a Mage or a Seer from being unable to do anything except “Know” something (Rose and Terezi say hi this time)

but other classes are simply not going to have the scope of knowledge and understanding that a Mage or Seer has, likewise a Mage or a Seer isn’t going to be able to really be super amazing at something, unless that something is apart of their actual Understanding function

likewise other classes are simply not going to have scope and expertise in applying/exploiting their Aspects like the Knight and Page

its the example of of say, an Heir being able to technically use their fists to hammer an Aspect shaped nail into the wall, and then the Knight strolling over with their actual class shaped Hammer to actually do the thing

sure technically both can “nail” the hammer, but the Knight has a clear advantage in skill and knowhow and it would take the Knight much less actual effort to do a task that might take the Heir forever to even understand how to do

See for example in canon Dave understanding that John’s retcon shenanigans were having an effect on the timeline and trying to get John to “leave the time shit to the time players” so to speak

Classes just handle their own functions with a level of finesse, expertise and skill that other classes simply cannot
