This quarter I was lucky to take an extremely interesting class - Savannah Hidden Histories. Savannah is pretty touristic site, same as Lviv, were I lived before. And, same as Lviv, it has plenty of stories that usually are not presented for tourists. So we learned this kind of stories, and made a research (we really were making calls to museums and archives!). Our professor is amazing, and my only wish is to have this class not online, but it’s not something anyone could choose this Spring. One of the things I’ve produced for this class is a picture of Susie King Taylor, who was born as a slave and eager to learn. When she was small, she was stydying in one of Savannah’s secret schools for slaves and helping other slaves writing the passes so thay can travel and not to be caught. What an amazing woman! #scad #savannahgeorgia #scaddotedu #hiddenhistories #susiekingtaylor #illustration #procreate #ipadproart https://www.instagram.com/p/CAvyiuVjTrr/?igshid=hc0734itw9xv
