2011 SCAM Cup

I'm watching 2011 SCAM Cup and the commentary is infuriating. They really try to portray some US vs Russia Cold War bullshit through Mustafina vs Wieber. The trio constantly refers to Aliya as a diva who's emotional, difficult, rude, etc. and are CONSTANTLY comparing her to Khorkina. Tim and Elfi were like we were trying to talk to her and get her to answer in depth questions, but she wouldn't reveal anything and just did simple "niet" answers. Idk maybe it's cause Aliya doesn't know English well or because the trio/NBC are the fucking worst. Like back at 2010 Worlds Al was already going "did the diva do it?" And then there are blatant lies to fuel Russia vs US wars. Al says that Aliya was "staring daggers" at the Magnificent Seven and wants to erase the memory of Russia losing to the US in 1996, which was a dark time for Russian gymnastics. Then Tim says that he reminds her so much of Khorkina and that he would never forget Khorkina ripping off her silver medal and throwing it into her bag... Elfi adds that Khorkina was also screaming at her teammates... Then Tim lies and says this happened in 1996 because she really wanted the team gold, but the Americans were just better that day. Uhhh... no. Khorkina taking off her medal was in 2000 after the Russians lost to Romania... not the US.
