Hey guys, if there’s somebody telling you they’ll pay $300 to your PayPal but you gotta jump through a bunch of loops to receive it, don’t fall for it. The scammer asked me for a commission of a portrait of a white woman with red hair, which I refused to do until payment came through.
Scam emails will look like this, I caught the scammer in the act and they instantly deleted their account. They realized I’m not a fucking idiot, stay safe guys
Beware of people claiming to be interested in your photographs/artworks/drawings etc. They will feign interest in order to get your work, often time claiming to want to buy the rights to your work for some project they may have. They will usually offer you a large sum of money for your work, upwards of $10,000 dollars at times. However this is a ploy to scam you out of what is rightfully yours.
They will usually direct you to a website of their choosing, even if you have a way of taking payment. They will usually say that it’s for their convenience but it’s a lie. Take these two “different” websites that two different scammers will direct you to. One is called “Artvaultmarket” and the other “Artpixelhub”.
They are absolutely the same, but will look professional to the untrained eye. On these websites they will seem to credit your account with payment, unfortunately the only way for you to withdraw those “funds” would be to deposit ethereum or bitcoin into a wallet they claim is the websites. Please beware, these people are devious and want nothing more than to get your hard earned money, time, attention, and most of all photographs/artworks/drawings/etc. Please be mindful when dealing with strangers on the internet. There is no direct way to report them due to them leading you off of Tumblr where the scam can happen. To the scammers and those that build these fake websites, your time will come.
I don’t much care for being fuvking stalked. I especially don’t fucking like it when some dick in a car is parked down the damn street with his headlights on waiting for us to leave the apt or whatever. That is annoying. It’s more annoying to me that the asshole yelled at me as we were leaving the apt. Fuck these people. Fuck this stalking garbage. I’m very tired of these pieces of shit fucking…
This poster is a scammer, their account does not work for me anymore but I want to warn you guys.
The scam is the oldest one in the book, I had to play fake to confirm it: they’re gonna pretend like they love your photos, that they come from the same place as you. Then they’re gonna mention they’re doing a commission for a vague client and they want to pay you for your pictures, that they have to pay you. Then the kicker, they’ll send you a “contract” that looks so amateur you just know it was written by a scam artist.
And this point if you ask any questions they’ll stop answering and disappear so you know its a scam.
@ryanpatmon is commenting on people's posts to scam them. They'll comment "DM me if your open for commissions?" Or something like that.
They'll offer $300 for a commission (even if you told them it's $10 or less), ask for your email and then send a fake email from Paypal and a fake receipt.
The email said that because it's first payment/personal account/something it has been restricted. That the "client" needs to send you additional $200 for you to return to them, to upgrade your account.
I don't know what happens after that. I reported the email, I reported the account here on Tumblr (but not sure if I selected the right reason). I sent dm to a couple accounts that she commented but still.
They will seem like a real person, asking for "a portrait for her sons pet" and specifying stuff. Once you receive the email they say it is safe, that you'll return the money, and they will send a baloney email with 2 lines saying "you need to do something or we'll close your paypal account!". I talked with PayPal's customer support, they confirmed it's fake.
Omg the amount of men and WOMEN who ask me to be their Sugar Baby and then ask for money to pay fees before money can be transferred or need a gift card code....I mean ffs do I look like I button up the back? Its so funny cos they say their ex marine or army originally from America somewhere on a mission. But they keep using the term 'dear' which only tends to be used by Indian gentlemen!! Then you catch them out and they backtrack that their dad is actually Indian lol The amount of people who must fall victim to that is ridiculous. Christ on a bike, I wish people could stop being scammers. Its true what they say, you don't get something for nothing but people should just be bloody honest!!! Ffs
