#scams?

I don't know why, but ever since I started rebloging about Palestine, people have been sending me asks about needing help and donations for their families or for themselves. And it's always the same formula. Where are these bots coming from?

Okay, so I just got mentioned on a post with an account name with a bunch of numbers saying something about suspicous activity on my account and saying I need to click a link to verify stuff, otherwise my account will be restricted in some ways. Can anyone tell me if that's legit in any way or is it a scam thing?

Or just tell me if you can see this.

Has anyone else noticed a new type of scam/bot blog?

I've had 4 follow me recently and they all look very similar:

-Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss themed

-All of them have very common English names in the title, and 3 of them end in numbers

-All of their icons and header images appear to be from official images or merch

-Everything on them is reblogs of some of the most popular art posts in either the HH or HB tags (with one or two Good Omens in there too)

-All of the blog descriptions are similar, but 2 of them are nearly identical

-Blogs are all young, with the oldest being 5 months old and the rest being only 2

-All of them claim to be artists seeking commissions, despite there not being any original posts showcasing their work, nor are there any links to their work on other sites anywhere

Sure, there's a small chance they're not scam blogs, but just at a glance they all SCREAM scams/bots. Is this the newest wave of scam attempts? Is this exclusive to the HH/HB fandoms? Has anyone else noticed this happening??

Why are there so many posts on my dash that are like

“I’m a trans poc immigrant and my family is starving and also my dog got hit by a car: donate to my PayPal”

Doesn’t tumblr know by now that I’m broke? And also that I think most of these posts are probably scams?

Is there a new scam on tumblr?

Several different accounts have messaged me and said they like my content and want to promote/want me to follow a link on their page?

Like I keep blocking all the people who message me, but I want to know if this is a scam or if I’m just blocking innocent people.

Anyone know anything?
