Yellow would've been an artist.

Johns a writer and yellow… I think either a musician or painter. The Musician makes more sense based on the text. In part 22 he describes how he enjoyed the way people enjoyed the piano(in 21). But in my heart… he is a painter. I don't know why. Maybe its my own projection onto a character I love as a visual artist myself. But, something in him screams to me an adoration for other art forms only being able to express himself visually.

I think he uses large washes of bright colours in reds and yellows and bright greens like the grass blades upon a sunrise. I think he paints people. Never one person, always a group. And they are always partaking in something together, usually an art. Maybe its music, maybe its reading a poem together, maybe even a painting themselves. Or maybe they are drinking or talking or picnicking on a hill. He paints the joy of people partaking in the most human things of all connection and art despite how ruff or soft, close or distant, sweet or mean they may be.

And I think the people he paints are like those in the bar. People who have clearly had a harsh life that's carved them into a wall. finally letting said walls down for community. I also think his paints always have the face obscured or lacking in detail. He will paint a smile with a single brushstroke to show a grin and the nose may retain its detail but the eyes will never be there. His paintings are not focused around the individuals but again, the community.

He paints what he never had.

I love yellow in a way I cannot explain. The way I love yellow is similar to how I love john but not the same. With john there's some finality and joy but yellow makes me sad. His "end" only hurt me and I spend ages thinking of how he could've been bettered. The end of his story feels like another loose end the show is yet to solve. I don't know if threshold will continue it. Likely in some capacity but I doubt it will be truely tackled the way many other plotlines were. If i were to guess his story will be disregarded and moved past the moment John or Arthur have to do something. I hate that but i havent much hope. Idk how to finish this post. I just wanted to share this ramble I've had in my notes and for a bit. Hope yall see my vision and lets all PRAY yellow gets some screentime. he deserves it.
