Arthur Lesters injuries document

Helloooo so uh- I've been working on a little document in my spare time for... a couple months now. Basically I relistened to Malevolent and wrote down every injury Arthur had in the podcast and put it in a google document below. He uh- has quite a lot huh? Kind of hard to keep track of so i thought a list would be nice.

I know there's others who have done lists and i believe the fandom wiki has one too but I wanted to make one so uh I did. If you disagree with any injuries I wrote or you think some should be added or edited (or i just got something wrong lol) in some way please let me know! I feel like sometime after s2 or 3 John realized just how fucked up his and arthur’s situation is and he’s trying to come terms with it, how much he’s taken from Arthur and all the terrible things he’s done both as the king in yellow and just as himself, and for the most part Arthur is just like “yeah I’ve made my peace with it”

I personally like the idea that Arthur still holds some anger deep down inside for what John has done. Like buried so deep that not even Arthur knows about it. Because he never got the time to properly process it.

Like sure, Arthur has "made peace" with it, but that is in large part because getting over it was essential for their survival because how much Kayne and the KiY used their relationship against them. It was either forgiveness or death. Same thing with the bone cathedral in season 6. They had much more pressing matters than Arthur's feelings about the past.

But now with Threshold, that anger is re-emerging because he never proper addressed his emotions and the grief from John's actions. Arthur lost everything because of John and he never got the time to grieve. Not even the death of his partner. Now that Arthur finally found some peace in the storm, he has the time to actually face the pain of his past and those difficult emotions.

Imagine:

What if something bad were to happen to John when he has full control of Arthur’s eyes, hand/forearm and foot? (When Arthur allows him more control of those parts) Suddenly Arthur can’t “feel” him and he is left partially unable to use his hand and the foot on that side and fully blind while this happens. Also Arthur being worried about what has happened to John for once, aka it’s John’s turn to be the hurt one.

Imagine Arthur calling John’s name and getting no response. Arthur grabbing his left hand and trying to do anything that might jostle him back only for his hand to fall limp. The last thing Arthur hearing is John’s distressed/pained voice???

Bonus points if it’s like a reverse of what happened to Arthur in episode 43.

I got a vision bro arthur wakes up, he had fallen asleep at the desk again, john having been up late writing. He goes to say good morning to him and... nothing. he prods a bit, even pinches the hand (which as you suggested he cant feel) and foot etc. He still cant see. this cant be happening. He has plans today. Plans with faroe He proceeds to spend the enitire day pretending to be able to see WITHOUT his seeing eye god. all while doing whatever he can think of o get john back. all while faroe questions him on why hes acting weird (or weirder than normal) that would be so fun <3

thinking about Kayne's possible role in threshold I'm pretty sure we all realise he's still around. That's made obvious. Why? Well it could be 'revenge' and I do believe it in part but I also think it is Genuinely that obsession he has with him. No matter how much he hates the reasoning that tricked him into said obsession it is still there. I think him clinging onto Arthur to get him out isn't unreasonable for the character, both because he let Lillith out before and because well- who else? I mean maybe he has followers who could do his bidding? but also, why would he do that? idk how to describe it but it feels like something Kayne would be reluctant to do- I mean we saw how he treated Larson? if he does have followers then he isn't likely to care nor think of them. Ofc Arthur isn't going to let him out. he hates Kayne and while he doesn't intend on killing him he sure as hell isn't going to let him out.

so. How does Kayne get out, or attempt to get out.... may i suggest a deal? due to whatever circumstances, either John or Arthur manage to make a deal with Kayne for... something. idk. this could be related to a few different things. depending on where the story goes. I think the most likely options of what the deal is regarding (based off what we know now) its either going to be based on returning Noel in someway. Maybe locating or being sent to threshold to find him or regarding Faroe, since there's obvious connections between the two due to the Torquemada puzzle book (Caine's jawbone) Although im less sure how this path would connect

saw these posts (john possibly gaining more control over the body and faroe sensing something wrong and horrific about her father) and have been imagining scenes combining them, drew a thing

think it would be like arthur getting gravely injured and john trying to get him to safety? like trying to sneak and get medical supplies while puppeting arthur and accidentally encountering faroe, having to hide both the wound and that he Isnt Arthur? idk thought it would be cool

alternatively the scene could go down with john projecting to get arthur to safety, also interesting interaction potential i think @mushroomtiefling
