WVS Surgical Training Course, Thailand Shelter Day š¾ My surgery buddy Milly and I spent the day at the WVS Care for Dogs shelter, where we met street puppy Jolly. The little pup had been hit by a motorbike which snapped her metacarpals and left her right foreleg in a bad way. She didnāt seem to be in any pain, but still required urgent treatment. We immediately cleaned the wound (which was in surprisingly good condition) and administered antibiotics. Donations to Worldwide Veterinary Service funded her scapulectomy, which was a huge success. The following morning, Jolly was up to her usual puppy tricks and seemed completely unfazed by her missing leg.
