The studio that did Free is KyoAni,who basically are the opposite in how they treat their staff, compared to MAPPA.

YOI is an original anime, so I don't know how realistic is for them to pass it on to other studio. It's different than when you are adapting a manga/visual novel. That being said, the rumor is that the movie was almost finished, so who knows if one day a miracle will happens and we will watch it!

i just used Free as an example mostly because of how emotionally charged their narration of the sport was, which i think YOI is too (and i couldnt remember if Free had a manga or if it was all light novel but yea!) thats kinda upsetting that despite the fact that YOI is an original anime, it wasnt given priority yk??? sorry im just rambling rn

ooo i'm not big on superheroes but kou would definitely be some kind of healer, and kiku would have the power to like calm someone down? he could induce in them a soft relaxed state so they aren't afraid anymore. idk what naomi would do but she would help out very discreetly and leave before anyone noticed, she wouldn't draw attention to herself at all. can't imagine kaname as a hero but if she were it would be some zuko blue spirit vigilante persona.
