Enchant-Fée | Prompt: Kwami Swap

Scaraverse!Félix with the Ladybug’s powers would be way more “magical” than Scaradget’s gadget-based power set. While Scara uses goggles, has a cape-wing, and wire-antennas, Fée’s wings and antennas would just sprout out of his back and scalp, and his eyes would change to be more bug-like. For how his powers would play out, I’m thinking of something like Fullmetal Alchemist’s transmission circles (except he would call them enchantments).

Thanks @applebear-rites for the name suggestion! (It’s “enchantée” + “fée”, which means “nice to meet you” and “fairy”, respectively [as well as the “enchant” part of enchantée] :)).

Not sure if it’s laziness, procrastination, and/or executive dysfunction keeping me from writing (or if I just drained my well of creative energy for the week), but I wanna open With Great Powers chap 2 doc, but it feels so tiriiiiiinnnnggg.

Anyway, here some concept sketches for Mari’s and Félix’s heroes’ outfit for that AU (and a baby Adrien from another drawing).

I had the name “Scaradget” for a gadget-based Ladybug since Digit first started sharing the concepts she found of it (it comes from Nottesilhouette’s suggestion of “Scararouge” that she gave me for a now-abandoned project) and I’m so glad I’ll finally get to use it!

I also wanted Chat!Félix to have a different name in this fic, and decided to use a similar combination to Scaradget’s (Scarab [another name for beetle] plus Gadget [in reference to how she uses her abilities]), also following Digit’s observation that Chat’s power follows more standard powers aesthetic, I came up with Wizcat (just Wizard plus Cat). I thought about going with Chat Mage instead, to resemble more his original name, but Scaradget is already very far from Ladybug anyway, and I asked my brother, and he said he liked Wizcat better :P (also, it sounds like “whiskers” idmdkfmdk).
