Can you do parental mer knockout and breakdown x human/mer child reader
I'm thinking of TFP/G1 merformers fusion. LET'S GO!
Warning: minor character death, death of a parent (not Breakdown or Knock Out), offscreen kidnapping
It’s Breakdown that finds you. More like he finds the corpse first, after trailing the scent of old blood and open wounds, set with sickness, the human is already dead. He can’t tell if it’s a male or female, but he definitely knows that bright shade of purple venom, even dried and faded, the bioluminescent hue is unmistakable -deep-sea raiders. And utterly inedible. Such a waste. He was about to leave when he hears the unmistakable cry, although weak, so very weak.
Perhaps it’s soft of him but Breakdown was going to give you a quick death, no land pup could survive out here, the closest settlement is too far even with his solid speed. A quick drowning is far kinder than slow, cruel starvation against their parent’s corpse.
When he dragged himself over,to his utter amazement, you have a tail and a complete death grip to the front coverings.
In the daylight shine, Breakdown spots the gleam curled in the dead human’s hand and the tattered cloth. Even glazed in death, he spots those dark, soulful eyes; sea-blooded eyes, and immediately connects the dots of the tragic picture.
The mer-shark has to rip away the covering to pry you away from your sire. Breakdown leaves in his arms the last, desperate acts of a selkie’s son: a wailing, too-young pup and their famed artifacts: a makeshift sealskin and a seashell necklace.
There’s no point waiting for your carrier. Nothing echoes in the nearby water, nor would the raiders allow her to escape.
You wail, louder than before but still feeble; trailing into pathetic whimpers and nuzzle into his chest, trying and failing to nurse, pawing at the thick plating and hard muscle.
By a wild turn of luck, Breakdown crashes back into the cove to see Knock Out treating a large and very gravid mer and immediately bolts to her, pushing you forward, begging her to feed you. Of course, he misses the mate…
While Thundercracker nurses the starving pup, Knock Out is busy suturing the Breakdown’s injury as the mer of lionfish hisses threateningly at Barricade to lie down and keep the damn pressure.
Your selkie nature breeds true; your eyes are large, soulful, and very dark from the dilated pupils and little whiskers lining your cheekbones.
Thanks to the entire ordeal, Knock Out does get invited to travel back to the Praxus for the community has a sore need for Mediciners, especially ones that specialize in toxicology and have the balls to rip into a protective Praxian.
While Knock Out has the medical experience, Breakdown has to mainly handle you due to Knock Out’s unretractable spikes -the not-fun ones. Beautiful they may be, but they can be quite deadly, especially if he maxes out the dosage.
While he could shut off the production and hand milk the venom from the spines; they’ll need to travel in open territory during the Raiding Season, and with one gravid female and one rare pup, it’s best to keep his defenses up until the pod hits Praxus’ outskirt patrols.
It’s far easier for Knock Out to manipulate the dose to a level that produces minor burns on flesh than to shut it off, but he doesn’t want to take a chance with a compromised pup with no proper armor-plates, especially now that you’re eyeing his body and the way the spines jolt with his movements.
They settle in Praxus very well. Knock Out banters and battles with other Mediciners in the established medicinal coves, and Breakdown eventually joins construction and foraging teams when you’re a far more acceptable weight and can be weaned off milk. Thankfully, Thundercracker is a gracious neighbor to supply the pup.
Even if they weren’t neighbors with Thundercracker and her mates, Praxus is famous for its massive kelp forests and immense coral reefs. The Praxians care for a large herd of stellar’s sea cows.
For providing protection from predators and hunters, the sea cows produce large quantities of milk and check the rapid growth of the forests. As well as a source of meat during very scarce times.
While sea cow milk is a solid alternative for providing substance to pups and the ill, it lacks the antibodies, needs additional vitamins and minerals, and is more likely to be rejected compared to a carrier’s breastmilk.
There are mers that still call the community by its older name; but they had formed working relationships with the coastal human settlements and other sea-blooded specie, and with the near collapse of the straits that split the settlement, they decided to shorten the name to Praxus.
It takes time for all three to acclimate to each other and get the new home prepared for a pup. Including building containers for sharp tools, delicate equipment, and lethal toxins that a too curious pup would nose without comprehending the dangers. Prowl, another of Thundercracker’s mates, provided a wax to smear the bindings and surfaces from a chewy pup.
Knock Out did use the wax for his tail fins on Prowl’s recommendations, his are exposed compared to Breakdown’s, who didn’t mind you gnawing on his armored fins.
It’s a tag team to keep you entertained and the boxes built because you want to latch onto a dorsal fin and reach over or under to chew on something. Always something that’s needed.
Luckily, Knock Out is able to store enough venom at his work site to stop his own production. His spines are sharp but harmless, so he’s able to handle you. With his own clever hands, he made some simple toys out of extra taps and fibers.
The first few months were the roughest with your nightmares. The raw animal-like terror you would exude chased away any semblance of sleep in the adult mers, especially since the ragged keening would restart should one of them try to move away to get something to drink or eat.
As you grow, so does your hair; attributed to your human heritage, no doubt. You stand out even further among the mainly black-and-white mers with your bright scales and solidly dark eyes. Knock Out doesn’t have the heart to shear it short. He simply trims it and snips off the stubborn knots.
Breakdown’s hands are large, his fingers thick, but he carefully runs his claws in your wild tresses to detangle them and get some form of tameness, and then keeps it back with homemade fiber cords.
Knock Out has the finesse to work with the lovely mane. He braids in dyed strips of tarp and fixes sea glass beads in lovely patterns. During celebrations and festivals, he weaves bits of tinsel, pins from his own emptied spines, and artisanal shells with inked designs -far too delicate for everyday use.
You know you're adopted; Knock Out enjoys calling you his favorite treasure. Breakdown will jokingly refer to you as the cutest stowaway ever since you managed to latch onto the spot he couldn't really feel from an injury to secretly join a foraging expedition.
It’s natural that you develop immunity to the toxins he usually works with, so he promises to teach you how to utilize the accessories he crafted with you in mind, especially with the spikes that he breaks off to keep the length to manageable levels -the inside channels perfect to pour and cap a nasty surprise.
Beautiful creatures are often the most dangerous.
The Festival of Solus is an exciting time for Praxus. Many come to her to take part in the celebration of crafts and delicacies. Not only delegates and tourists from other mer pods and settlements, but selkies, traveling fae, and humans.
Humans would park their fishing boats nearby to form a water market. All manner of speech flew and wares were exchanged. Fresh deep-water creatures, specialized glassware, bolts of gossamer cloth, rare spices, and salt licks to name a few things…
Praxians tend to paint their bioluminescent markings on loved ones and close friends, so it’s a riot of color on the usual monochromatic mers.
Knock Out likes crooning other the wares of shopkeepers with shimmering, shifting eyes and lilting voices as his venom is an acceptable offer to them.
Breakdown keeps an eye on you weaving about, swimming from one boat to another to trade your haul of crabs, mussels, and sea urchins for other tasty things.
A few try to pry about the carvings in the shell in your hair, but Breakdown gruffly shuts it down and moves you away to keep you out of range. Just in case.
It's the same seashell from the necklace. There was a traveling fae that was curious and willing to help transform it into a hair ornament without destroying the original spellwork -it has the ability to record a short-term noise and it contains the last words of your birth sire.
The makeshift sealskin is not a true one, as one selkie artificer explained. The one found on you is only for infants and perhaps toddlers, the garment does not grow with the user.
There's a box that yours with the garment and the shredded remains of a shirt.
