I love your makeovers! They look so handsome ;)
Thank you so much 💙
joanna-squared replied to your post “not the same anon as before but they're right!! your theme and colors...”
I agree :)
Thanks, I’m relieved that everyone seems to like the way my blog looks! I did my theme right before I started posting anything and it took like 3+ hours just for me to choose a color scheme and add a few pages :-0

This is so awesome OMG its getting me excited to start my strangetown makeovers & bios!
That makes me really happy, your PV bios have been brilliant so far! I’m very much looking forward to seeing how you tell the Strangetown stories.
glabeglarn replied to your photoset “She also met Cactus Sage the Atrociously Evil Witch (Thank my all time...”
That’s a cool name generator, thanks for sharing it with us! Also, Cactus Sage is an awesome and perfectly fitting name, considering that they’re green!
No problem, it’s the one I use in every hood no matter how ill-fitting it is. It seems to really like choosing the name Cactus, but I agree that it suits her :-) I think the most unfortunate name it has generated was Uranus Wild, but he was a great sim who married into my legacy family.

Loving Lazlo's new look !
Thank you! I was worried that I went a little too simple with their makeovers...

Wooh, chai latte all the way! :) thanks for doing this, it was cool to learn more about you!
It was a little nerve-wracking to post, so I’m glad someone enjoyed reading it. And yeah, who doesn’t love chai lattes?

Never a dull moment in the Ottomas household! :)
Right!? I played for maybe 11/2 hours and it was pure chaos the whole time!
Replies for @blackswan-sims, @scarletkabby, @marioneves2, @infinitesimblr, @simlishnoir!

I wanna live in that house!
Me too! I seriously love how it turned out and the traditional Japanese feel mixed with modern is awesome <3

I think it looks great so far! I would definitely use it :)

Yes, please! :-)
infinitesimblr replied to your photo “DOT’s Screen set shelves with candles, but without candles, so just...”
Definitely continue! This shelf looks great without the candles, and slots would be the icing on the cake!
I’m glad you guys think you’ll find use for this! + others who have given the post a like. I do think it looks good, especially in Pirate woods, but the thing is there’s more to the set, and I’m worried I’ll end up with too much on my hands XD I do hope the slots wont make me give up. Though if I can’t deal with that myself, I’ll probably ask someone with more experience.
Keep an eye out for this set for this month’s theme on GOS, but it will most likely be near the end of the month!

Familyfunds!
The problem with that was the other Hyuga families in town, so I had to put em down in an empty lot and motherlode them! :D Good for Neji that he comes from a loaded family and the house technically belongs to them-- in my canon it’s an old Hyuga house they didn’t build nor buy, just renovate a little here and there, so I could just give em money instead of loans. XD
Can I just mention how awesome familyfunds cheat is though? I almost never used it before but when I started... man, it saves so much trouble!
Few more replies for @didilysims under the cut!
I figured I’ll just gather all of these here instead of answering on the post. :D even small ones.

I've started up a pictures only DL folder organized exactly the same as my in-game DL folder and with same file names, but saved to a different spot. It's handy because I can easily find the pictures in the subfolders, but they're aren't hogging space in my game...just on my hard drive. :P
+ Every little bit helps
That seems like a great idea, but I need to visually see the pictures right next to the package file or I just get so confused. XD even the filenames don’t help me that much, so using Syncback is great! My main Downloads folder is outside my Sims 2 folder and it’s the one with pictures in it. I only mess with it, then I use Syncback to move all package files to the Sims 2 folder! That program is awesome! I’m glad I started using it despite my initial scepticism.
To be honest, less time is nice, but I also need to cull tons of downloads I don’t use to make it even better. XD

Whee! Have fun--I know the kidlets will with all those toys. :D
I feel like it’s going to be pretty fun, too! Also, you should totally use this mirror like @dramallamadingdang suggested cause it works perfectly from my tests! I basically moved the toddler in, then my “caretaker”/Lee was able to interact with her in every way and it was pretty cute! After that I just moved her back to her house and saved, then checked in on her house and she was in her crib sleeping just like how I left her, but in her relationship panel she had a new friend. :D
didilysims replied to your photoset “I put planters under the floor to make it look like a deck :D…… I’m...”
Nice idea! I don't even recognize them as planters so you fooled me. :D
I didn’t even know those were planters till I clicked the object and that’s what it said-- at first I thought it was just a bowl. XD but yea, they work well as tiny pillars/columns for the deck. :D
didilysims replied to your post “TAG. YOU'RE IT. The rules are to state 5 random facts about yourself....”
Those are some of my favourite games too (well, KOTOR--I'm old school) for the same reasons. :)
I tried KOTOR, but I couldn’t get into it. Probably because I’m so used to those action-packed, in the moment games so the slow pace of KOTOR felt too slow. :/ I do appreciate the story though cause it’s a part of the SWTOR canon! That said, Revan is still a guy so my character was just a lie anyway e.e

Geez louise! Can't I reply? It's being wacky. Anyways, (for the third time), I said you'd better hope that there's not a Cruella deVil in town who wants those puppies for a coat. ;-)
Eek, I didn't even think of that! Good thing they don't have spots yet, so they're safe...for now.

I'm curious now--will we see the Kims in Pine Lake?
Not in Pine Lake, but some of it's sub-hoods. Ooh, so mysterious. And unnecessarily so. :P I'm using clean/empty templates so no vacation tourists or locals spawned, but that made vacationing really boring, so I grabbed some premades for the job. The Kims get to be tourists, but their pets can't, so they were adopted out. Now you know the truth! Feel privileged. ;)
scarletkabby replied to your photoset “Another lot with baffling questions. This one, however, I did not yet...”
That lot is interesting. In my Three Lakes I turned it into a community center.
It does seem to be leaning that way with some of the stuff they put into it. I like that plan, actually, as it might be easier to use up all that space as a community centre. Thanks for the idea!
penig replied to your photoset “And now it’s time for the most boring family in Pine Lake. Sigh. ”
Eh, you can fix that. Boring is as boring does.
I tried...though admittedly not very hard. I just don't care much about this family, largely because they don't have much connection to the rest of the town. I'm not so secretly hoping for a death in the family to spice things up...and also hoping that will be enough.
dramallamadingdang replied to your photoset “Another lot with baffling questions. This one, however, I did not yet...”
The answer to most of the above is: Because Maxis. It's like they all live in a parallel universe where common sense isn't so common.
That parallel universe is prematurely turning me grey and bitter.

OMG! It's got a Stargate! (Um, can you tell what I've been watching a lot of lately? :) ) No, seriously, it looks great. Cuz yeah, the original lot is kind of dumb. But hey, it's a Maxis lot so yeah. :)
Ha, I see it now! The original lot isn't that bad by Maxis standards. It does what it's supposed to do, but it just has a few...quirks. Also, thank you. :)

I did some searching around, because I vaguely remembered reading something about this before, and it turns out it's a feature of Macrotastics! More info under "XIV. Eat." I'll have to stash more food in inventories and try this out some more!
