Someone is ignoring the joke slash minor threat. He’s heard it aaaall too much.

“Buy me a bucket if I beat you out on the rankings again.”

With a roll of his eyes, he turned his back to the winged hero. As it seemed, as much Toya tried to mess with Hawks, that much the other would respond the same way. Which pissed him off because a DUMB bastard should be as dumb as he looked. Hawks apparently had a talent to trick people with that attitude of his.

“ No way, ” he mumbled, starting to walk away. Wether or not the other would follow him, Toya couldn't care much. All he cared was to get something on his stomach. He lit a cigarette, one hand on one pocket as he kept his head bowed. “ That's you trying to take advantage of me, ” he smirked. “ We both know how much people love you, ” emphasizing the word ‘love’. No, he didn't actually believe that the other's popularity was what earned him a spot to the top five heroes in such a young age but making him feel shitty and miserable was his only purpose to live. He was being dramatic. He just wanted to tease him, since as it seemed, he'd never make it to the top ten, no matter how much he tried.

“ Why don't you buy me one if you beat me in the ranks? ” A certain win for him. “ Fuck off... ” he whispered under his breath. “ Give me a break... ”

Natsuo is sitting on a bench by the entrance of the festival as he waits for Hawks. Next to him, there’s a basket that has has everything they had discussed for their picnic, including the fruit sandos that Hawks had wanted. He made sure to grab a few extra for him since he seemed so interested in them. 

He feels a weird mixture of excited and nervous and he tries not to think too much about it. He’s never been on a picnic before, at least not as an adult. He still didn’t know if this was supposed to be a date or not and he wishes he had asked. 

When he finally catches sight of Hawks, the tension leaks out of his shoulders and he instantly smiles, lifting a hand in a wave and called out to him. 

“Hey!”

Turquoise eyes lift to meet golden hues. Fuyumi stares into Hawks eyes before she whispers, "I don't think I will. It's always been easier for me to keep how I feel inside." Her hand brushes against his before she speaks again, "Thank you, though." She is about to say something else when she heard the front door and jumped. "Dad! I'm in the dining room. Hawks is here too! I made dinner." Fuyumi stands before her father can come into the room, placing distance between Hawks and herself.
