saw someone posting about the tv show "the terror" and I thought it sounded interesting but I was like "I can read a book faster than I can watch a tv show" so I read the book it was based on instead. pretty fucked up but like, gripping. kept me reading. I have to say that I did cringe every time I read the word "esquimaux" even though I suppose it's historically accurate

as I was reading the book I envisioned the supernatural polar bear beast that stalks and kills the men as the pokemon beartic but I still was like "when I get up in the middle of the night and go to the bathroom it Will be in the hallway and eat me"

I dont think the design for the tv show looks very good. I mean it looks better than beartic but it's not as scary or spirit-like as it could be. although I've only looked at still images of it so if I watched scenes from the show with it I would probably be extremely scared

this head prop is good in that it blurs the line between beast and human but silly for the same reason. I guess I'm only able to find the goofiness in it bc I can sit here and examine it in good lighting though. if you showed me this for a split second before it ripped someone's head off I would be like OH FUCK!

I still think they should have gotten the team who did the bear monster for annihilation in on this
