Scroll back and forth between the two pictures. Look by the rocks on the mid left. The shadow. I heard an extremely loud screech on the tree. Like something sharpening up its claws. Note that the night is much much darker than the pictures look. No visibility to the human eye. I’m that kind of crazy. Mount Monadnock is right next to me and I’m in a parking lot next to it gazing at the stars. Anything lurks in the forests at the mountains. I had no idea what it was but based on my extremely good ears, I calculated that it would be at a specific area so I set my camera in pure darkness and took some semi long exposures, short enough to capture movement but long enough to be visible enough. And when I was there, I calculated that the rock about 150 - 200 ft from me was about the same size as the creature. About 6ft in length and 4 feet in height, walking on all 4’s. after editing the picture, it does appear to be slightly smaller. maybe 5 ft in length and 3.5 ft in height. there’s nothing I could do. this is my astrophotography location, and i ain’t moving. so picture #3 shows me holding my own, had to bring out the super powers lol... got creative to intimidate what ever was there. we both stayed in our areas harmoniously. i left it alone and it left me alone and we both respected our time there. about 3 hours later a different creature came from the forest and was not happy with me, and its growls were something else, but that’s another story for another time ;) don’t do what I do, specially alone. that’s for me to do and you to enjoy seeing from a safe and warm place at home lol so like my post and follow me ;) I’ll take you to the depths of the forests of Earth and beyond the Stars ;) #HomeboiPhotography #NightPhotography #ScaryPhotography #Forest #Astrophotography #Stars #Space #LongExposure #LightPhotography #Nature #Outdoors (at Mount Monadnock) https://www.instagram.com/p/B5CJwSCnvjE/?igshid=ohzlvdv2iy1g
