That evening rolled around, and everyone’s costumes were ready. As Scay had predicted, Verxes invited Jade to their party. Whilst the others were dancing and partying, Scay kept an eye on Verxes. She did her best to enjoy herself at the same time, trying to dance with the other guests and having a couple of drinks.
After an hour or two, Scay noticed that Verxes wasn’t with the rest of the guests. Following the sound of his voice to a quieter part of the house, she watched as Verxes and Jade made out in the viewing lounge. Shocked, she retreated back to the house, to tell Zey and Yntie what she’d seen.

Unable to fully get her head what she’d seen at the museum, Scay turned to the only people she felt she could trust; her brother and sister.
Zey was shocked when she told him. He couldn’t believe that Verxes would cheat on their Dad. He could see there was no denying Ver’s love for Verxes, the idea that Verxes was stringing him along was completely alien to Zey.
Yntie, on the other hand, was more sceptical. Whilst she didn’t doubt Scay had seen Verxes, she held out thinking that they were simply friends. She pointed out that Verxes was gay, how could he be cheating on their Dad with a woman.
Yntie’s words cast the seeds of doubt between the three of them. They didn’t want to suggest to Ver that his marriage might not be stable if they weren’t completely sure. But they also didn’t want to stand idly by in case Verxes was playing their Dad.
Together, they formed a plan, to find out the truth.

Scay’s school day had gone well. She was well on top of her schoolwork but when she got home, she was feeling a little cooped up. She’d been struggling to get out, her sun weakness beginning to plague her more and more over the past few days. She needed somewhere sheltered to go and catch some R&R.
Despite the desert sun, the Oasis Springs museum seemed like the perfect place head to. It was fully covered and she could quickly run inside and remain covered whilst she was taking a look at some of the displays. She tried to gain some inspiration for an upcoming art project but after getting nowhere, she reconciled that she was more musically artistic before going to head home.
As she was leaving the museum, she caught sight of something which surprised her from across the road. Unable to get closer, she could only speculate. But she was sure that he eyes weren’t deceiving her.

That evening, the family sat down to the grand meal.
Tensions were running a little high, as Par had asked for someone to prep the vegetables in the morning and arrived home to a tray of untouched vegetables. But it wouldn’t be a holiday without someone being a little pissed off now, would it?

The weekend drew near, and it was one of the few days that everyone in the family had free. With all eight of them stuck in the house, Par took them all out to the park, to spend some quality time together.
Sympt grew bored quickly, and began pestering Ver for entertainment, but Ver had his hands full with Tyn. Yntie saw her brother’s pestering, so decided to indulge his curiosity. Sitting him down on the ground, she started show him through all plants and animals in the park, looking forward to being able to start her own family, teenager that she is.
Scay and Par meanwhile escaped off to the chess tables together. Playing with Scay reminded Par of the times when she was younger and they played together at home, he greatly enjoyed it. Scay was just glad to have her grandpar back to herself again, she’d been missing him.

With Scay’s new found vampirism, she and Ver found something of a strange father-daughter bonding activity, drinking the plasma of unwilling victims. Ver and Scay’s thirst seemed to line up, so they would go out and hunt together.
Ver began to worry though. Scay didn’t seem to dislike her feedings the way he did. In fact, she seemed to enjoy her powers. It didn’t sit well with him, his distaste for his vampirism obviously hadn’t been passed down. Ver started doing his best to persuade Scay round to his manner of thinking. They found another common past-time, exercise, and Ver used the chance to teach Scay the importance of restraint.
