Talulah Gosh were a guitar-pop group from Oxford, England and one of the leading bands of the twee pop movement, taking their name from the headline of an NME interview with Clare Grogan. They supposedly formed when Amelia Fletcher and Elizabeth Price, both wearing Pastels badges, met at a club in Oxford.

#Repost @dave_twist with @make_repost ・・・ Stephen Duffy and John Taylor, Duran Duran, my photograph for a foundation art project that I’d somehow re-written into the designing of a fanzine - which explains the odd cropping of this surviving shot pulled from the disintegrating paste-up. Taken in the earliest days of Duran’s first lineup in 1979 when we were all on the same course. We’re in the rehearsal veranda area out back of TV Eye’s shared house on Cheapside in the industrial area just south of Birmingham’s market district. Stephen is wearing one of the crazy crimplene ladies jackets that were sold, dirt cheap, out of S&U - a wholesalers next to the Rag Market. These odd early 70’s throwback garments looked vaguely like something the Dolls might have worn, but were, in 1979 more fashioned for the bingo hall set.
