❛  it's  alright,  he  won't  hurt  you,  he's  excited  to  meet  a  new  friend.  ❜

eric  holds  max  by  the  scruff  of  his  neck,  the  pup's  entire  body  wiggling  with  excitement.  he  wasn't  a  scary  dog,  but  his  enthusiasm  and  friendliness  could  be  a  little  intimidating.  especially  if  you're  not  used  to  dogs.  but  he  was  a  good  boy,  the  best  boy  in  eric's  personal  opinion,  and  was  good  about  trying  to  be  calm  around  people  he  could  sense  were  nervous.  

❛  just  let  him  sniff  you  and  when  you're  ready  you  can  say  hi.  ❜   and  if  max  made val  too  nervous  eric  would  be  there  to  redirect  max  and  help  val  in  any  way  he  could.  ❛  okay,  i'm  going  to  let  him  go  now.  ❜   he  gives  it  a  moment  before  moving  his  hand  away  from  max,  reminding  him  to  be  gentle  and  no  jumping.  as  he  does,  max  calmly  trots  over  to  val,  a  stark  contrast  to  the  complete  wriggling  he  was  doing  in  eric's  hold,  and  begins  to  sniff  her  all  over before sitting at her feet waiting patiently for pets.

He furrows his brow for a second, crouching down and glaring at the ground and watching the trail of blood in the distance before huffing softly, eyes turned back toward the horizon before continuing.

"This is bad."

HE TURNS to the rest of his Minutemen detachment before he rubs the back of his neck, and exhales softly.

"We've got to move forth. Colonel Lawson & Colonel Garvey mentioned that there's a ghoul infestation that we need to clear out. Lets move."

Esme's eyes widen before she's showing pearly white as a smile captures her lips. "Bless you, that's very kind! You didn't have to, sweetie, but it's appreciated nonetheless."

If anything Esme merely hopes the girl doesn't feel obliged to do these things. For all intents and purposes, this child is now her daughter (perhaps officially at some point if everything goes well and she wants adopting, of course).

"What do you want to do this evening, hmm?" she asks, placing groceries on marble countertops. "Anything you want, it's your choice!"

It was certainly uncanny. "I've never met anyone who looks like me before. Well, exactly alike. I do share similarities with my family, of course that's just genetics." but the girl in front of her shared more than just a few similarities. They could be mistaken as twins. Not that Lucy had ever met identical twins, there hadn't been any in a few generation in the vault. "I'm Lucy, Lucy MacLean."

he was first and foremost a milliner, but when in dire need, he could be a warrior too. and with such an occasion, it was an honor to him to fight for his queen. although he hated that the end of it would give his daughter a scare. ... "y----you are c---cov--covered in blood. is it y--yours?" valerie ( @scftheartiisms ) asked with great concern but Tarrant was quick to ease her worries. ... placing his hands on valerie's shoulders, mindful not to get any of the half-dried blood on her, he gave her a warm smile. "don't worry it isn't mine. well, maybe a scratch here and there, no more than a papercut. i am well, i promise."

"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you," Elio says when he hears her reaction. "You have nothing to apologize for." He hadn't thought he had been quiet but perhaps she had been so engrossed in doing the dishes she hadn't heard him coming. "You really shouldn't be the one doing that you're a guest in this house." He mutters while wrapping his arms around her and placing a kiss on her neck. "Let me at least dry those okay? You've done more than enough."

◤‧₊˚💖🪄˚₊‧⁺˖◢  glinda  regards  the  young  stranger  with  a  kind  but  otherwise  unreadable  expression,  she’s  reminded  a  bit  of  sweet  heroine  dorothy  gale  —  a  similar  expression  of  wonder  mirrored  in  this  new  visitor’s  face.  indeed  the  throne  of  ornate  gold,  red  velvet,  &&  rubies  she  presides  over  is  quite  beautiful  to  behold  and  the  sorceress  herself  even  more  so.

even  those  who  have  lived  in  this  land  all  their  lives  can't  help  but  be  enraptured  by  the  splendor  before  them  especially  when  seeing  it  for  the  first  time.  she  stands  up  and  steps  down  from  the  elevated  platform,  her  long  dress  trailing  behind  her.

Your laughter echoes like a sickly sweet melody as it bounces off the walls, and there's a flash...a glimpse of hunger that seems to lurk within the pools of black. Fingers itch as they settle around the hilt of a blade as you offered a mocking pout where you bring it up to glide along her cheek leaving a faint cut in it's place before you lean in close invading her personal space. Your voice drops to nothing, but a mere whisper as you speak into the shell of her ear.

"Surprrrrrrise!."
