For all my english speaking friends in Munich:
I don't know if I told you or not. No matter, I tell you now.
In the 16th century the plague was all over europe. Munich was haunted as well. People died like flies. Fear and chattering teeth all around.
At some point the plague had enough about fear and chattering teeth and disappeared. The people didn't believe and continued with fear and chattering teeth.
To give people hope again - and maybe some beer as well - the barrel makers started to dance in the streets. From this time the dance of the barrel makers repeats all seven years. And this year is one of the "seven years". So the barrel makers will start dancing in the streets.
I will watch them 10th of January at Higgins Ale Works. Feel free to join and meet me.
