🧩 Anonymous Survey: How Do You Experience Distance, Pacing, and Internal Structure?
I am currently conducting an independent research project exploring how people manage distance, pacing, sensory load, and internal organisation in daily life. Many who relate to schizoid dynamics or autistic traits describe patterns that do not fit neatly into any single category. This project aims to understand those experiences more clearly by looking at how people regulate themselves, maintain clarity, and make sense of the world internally.
The survey is open to everyone. People with schizoid traits, autistic traits, both, neither, or who feel they fall between categories are all welcome to take part. Every perspective helps build a wider picture of how different minds manage structure and stability.
Participation is:
Anonymous (no identifying information collected)
Voluntary (you can skip questions or leave at any time)
Short (about 10 to 15 minutes)
The focus is on lived experience rather than diagnosis. The goal is to develop clearer language for patterns of distance, pacing, clarity, and internal focus that many people recognise but rarely see represented in psychological models.
Your response can help illuminate why so many people feel unseen or misunderstood by existing DSM categories, and how internal structure plays a role in daily functioning across different neurotypes.
EDIT: This survey is now closed. Thank you to everyone who took part.
For those who were interested in how the responses were approached, I’ve shared a video outlining early SSQ-1 observations related to the autistic–schizoid overlap. The video stays with descriptive patterns rather than diagnosis or classification.
