Tirolo pagano.

Gli Schnappviecher sono tra i tanti personaggi di una sfilata che, nel periodo del Carnevale, si tiene a Termeno (Nome completo: Termeno sulla Via del Vino). Legato al simbolismo pagano della primavera che vince e scaccia l’inverno, lo "Schnappvieh" o "Wudele", una specie di coccodrillo senza orecchie, ricoperto di pelli e con corna e grandi mandibole sempre pronte a cercare prede. Il drago/dinosauro è alto più di due metri e viene spesso rappresentato da un intero gruppo. Viene sempre seguito dal macellaio che ad ogni sosta alle fontane ne cattura uno e lo uccide, chiudendo così il ciclo dell’inverno cattivo scacciato dalla primavera buona. Ho trovato la cosa molto affascinante, compiacendomi del fatto che fortunatamente realtà come questa continuino a sopravvivere. LINK AL SITO UFFICIALE
