SLUGS & SNAILS I've met the last few days (it has rained a lot)

The last one was huge and is called Schwarzer Schnegel — it's Europe's biggest slug and can grow up to 20 centimeters (8 inches) long. English synonyms would be: ash-black slug, black keel-back slug, or European giant garden slug (although they live in the forest, where I met them today. It was my first time seeing this creature and I am amazed!).

Passend zum heutigen WDR2 Beitrag "Frag doch mal die Maus 🧡🐭 - Wie überwintern #Nacktschnecken?", habe ich diesen schönen #Schnegel vor einigen Tagen noch gesehen. btw have i ever told you about my 'pet slug'? :D it's a tiger slug and i accidentally 'caught' him with some herbs i collected. so i had a bowl with grass on my windowsill, my lawn because i've got no garden, haha :P schnegel (how he's called. it's just the german word for it's species ^^ - the cute form is schnegelchen :D) stayed in his 'garden'. one day he creeped over my kitchen table to eat some apple i sliced and moved back to his garden <3 he also had a friend once but this friend got lost in my kitchen and didn't move back to the garden. so my schnegel lives in a terrarium now. his garden died while i wasn't home the last four weeks so i raised two new ones. he loves them :) yesterday he came out of his garden and nibbled my finger <3 it's strange but i think even slugs are kind of intelligent. my schnegelchen awakens and creeps when i'm around and giving him some food or water :)
