Fellow SCAD student, my DRAW101 final is a portraiture (I start life drawing next quarter) and I've never drawn people before. Any advice?? It's freaking me out a little.
Ok so fair warning I am awful at giving advice but I will try and help you the best I can. Main thing I can tell you is familiarize yourself with proportions, which will help out a lot. So where do things line up with others on the face, ect. Basic shapes and paying attention to contour lines. If you’re doing shading, pay attention to light source and build up the darks with layers. I don’t know overall what the details of the assignment are but I am gonna assume you will be using charcoal? But just remember, things will be okay and your teacher is there to help you. And sorry again if this isn’t much help.
