School Briefs Volume 2, Part 2 - Bumpy Ride

Mineta in the light novels is a POS

spoilers for mha light novels 1 and 2

i recently read mha light novels 1 and 2, and omds mineta is genuinely unbearable. (Kaminari is a right weirdo too.)

Even in the anime he really irks me sometimes, but his light novel self is on a whole other level.

In the 1st novel, he's at a themepark (i think?) with tokoyami, kaminari and iida.

Kaminari and Mineta split up from the others because they want to find women. They freaking look for women who look "attractive enough" to for them, and then attempt to hit on them. When they have no luck, they talk about maybe lowering their standards. Holy incel behaviour 💔

after, they find a lost girl and they attempt to find her mom after reuniting with tokoyami and iida, and during that time the girl develops a crush on tokoyami and tells him.

mineta and kaminari's response actually does my head in:

WHY ARE THEY SCOWLING OVER THIS, THAT WAS A KID HELLO???

and later on in the novel, they tell the others about what happened with the girl, and this absolute wanker says:

i had to put my book down for a good minute, because what the FUCK is he saying? Like this is some gross, messed up shit to be saying. keep in mind, the girl was 4-5 YEARS OLD 💔 I really, REALLY despise his character so much.

And in light novel 2, after his failed attempt at getting a look at the 1a girls in the hot springs, tries again with the class b girls, and brings a drill to make it easier. he gets caught, and the teachers restrain him. then for a THIRD freaking time, after breaking free from the restraints, he tries to go see the teachers in the hot springs. Just wtf is his problem?

I wish someone had expelled him honestly. I would NOT feel safe in the mha verse knowing this knob was one of the heroes. Civilians probably need saving from him.

Overall Mineta is a complete POS, incel and weirdo in the light novels and i cannot stand reading about him in them.

Izuku said Kacchan never received any valentines in elementary and middle school. Izuku observed Kacchan open his locker and watch how nothing fell out or was inside his desk every single year. Izuku has always kept his eyes on him, so every Valentine’s Day, Izuku knew Kacchan did not receive any chocolates or love letters from girls, even friendship chocolates because Katsuki doesn’t mix well with women, period. Izuku can so confidently speak for Kacchan, that as far as he’s aware (I mean… he can’t take his attention off him for two seconds - Kacchan.exe is always running in the background of Izuku’s mind), Kacchan has never received a.single.thing which means that Izuku has always been watching over him, listening in to his conversations should he ever mention it. EndMight crumbs from School Briefs #1 and what we learned from them

- Enji and Toshinori were once amicable enough for the former to tell the latter the kind of coffee he liked.

- Toshinori remembered his preferences a decade later.

- Toshinori wants to comnect with Enji so badly that he jumps at the chance to do so, shirking his professional responsibilities as a teacher.

- Enji either hasn't met Toshinori outside of the suit, or he has and just didn't realize he was All Might.

- This is the second time we've seen Toshinori ask Enji out for tea, and those might not be the only times.

In conclusion - they should kiss.

yeah so are we gonna ever talk about the fact that kaminari can fall asleep in any position, but the moment hes grabbed/touched in his sleep, he activates his quirk instantly? where bakugou, already with aversion and trauma from touch (sludge villain and sports festival nuzzling), needs to be messed with in his sleep numerous times??
