My School Cafe
Okay, so at my school the lunchtimes are scheduled with Middle School first at 12:15pm and Senior School second at 12:55pm. The cafe supposedly provides enough food for both sub schools. On two occasions I, a senior school student, have gone to the cafe with the intent upon purchasing a lunch, only to find that it has run out of hot food. I remember going to the cafe in Middle School and there being ample amounts of food. But in Senior School there is a scramble among the cohorts to just get food. On one occasion I left with a small "snack" packet of cheese and crackers and on another with the last sandwich, despite lining up with the full intent of purchasing hot food, of which there was none left. There were another fifteen people behind me, many of whom were to most likely walk away with no lunch at all. My friend's family notified the school of this, but the response from a member of staff was "the Cafe always has food, your daughter must be being insincere". As the circumstance is, Middle School's consumption of food is so much that Senior School is hardly getting anything. I want to send a petition to the school cafe to demand more food or at least for more food to be set aside for Senior School students, as our needs are not being met.
