Can someone help me with Chemistry. This is a serious question. I'm making a powerpoint presentation. My theme is "From the scent to the perfume" (Sorry if it's shitty translated, I'm German) Well and I'm using Coco Chanel No 5 (1921) as an example for the structure or composition of perfumes.

This is the aldehyde from the Top note of the perfume. So, my question is now, can someone help me/tell me how I can explain the chemical structure in context of this perfume? (Or in connection with the perfume dunno haha) ..Do you understand my question..? I already tried to google it, but..well I've found nothing that helps me..

Styrofoam 'dissolving' in acetone.

When styrofoam is placed in acetone, the long polymer strands are dissolved, releasing the trapped air and causing the structure to disintegrate. However, the insoluble crosslinked parts of the polymer keep the polystyrene from dissolving entirely, in much the same way as buoys on nets keep the entire net from sinking to the bottom of a lake. Once the acetone evaporates, you are left with a hard crosslinked polystyrene residue.

Chemistry Review Sessions

Is just about the most fun I ever have in Chemistry. Being able to jump from one thing to another, almost one on one with Belmir at times, learning with and from other people (Juan, Khoa, Nicole, Ava, Leanza) - it's wonderful. Having or watching someone have an epiphany with Belmir (Yes you Ava :] and Leanza too) is simply amazing.

Hearing Mr. Belmir just talk about life and religion in general at the end of the one today was the best part. On that note, his brother Jamal has passed away, and he would like him to be in people's prayers - no matter what their denomination.

Oh, and I got to pick up Nicole's phone and issued a ransom for her to Arvin. He probably wouldn't have recognized my voice by phone...That was fun :D

School day was pretty ehh, but with this it ended nicely.

- I checked the Chemistry questions in the book over again, and I actually understand them.
