School librarians spend long hours keeping the library organized, helping our children find the resources they need to keep learning and are dedicated to creating an environment they can learn in every day of the year. All of this hard work often goes unappreciated.

School Librarian Day
School Librarian Day honors those who serve our students in the local school libraries. Take a minute today, to appreciate all the hard work that a school librarian does daily, and the patience the librarian displays, as he or she aids our youth. You may choose to show your appreciation to School Librarians in a variety of ways, including: 1. Give the librarian a big smile and a big "Thank You!" 2. Tell you librarian that she is doing a wonderful job. 3. Send an Ecard. 4. Buy an age appropriate book or reference material, and donate it to the library. 5. Bake some tasty treats for your local school librarian.
