Did you see @prideofmice / @squamlove in her #schoolhousetunic made from Nani Iro linen? My heart just about exploded. Sure, it's an amazingly beautiful dress, but I just realized that it has been 10 years since I released that pattern. Like @prideofmice (also a Meg!) I was 26 at the time. And I was suddenly awash with the emotions of the passage of time. So much has happened in this decade. Becoming a mother. Parenting a child with a serious medical condition. Moving. Friendships. The depths of despair and feeling like I'm flying. 🖤 The Schoolhouse Tunic was my first clothing pattern for women. It was designed to be able to handle all that quilting cotton we had to work with back then, but works equally well with proper apparel fabrics that are now ubiquitous. I've thought of re-vamping and re-releasing the pattern, but seeing Meg's post made me realize that I don't need to: YOU all have done such amazing things with the Schoolhouse! 🖤 And so I'd like to celebrate the pattern, and all that you've created! Now through March 19, post pics of your Schoolhouse Tunics with the hashtag #schoolhousetuniclove and be sure to tag me. I will pick 5 winners at random, each of whom will receive my upcoming #arenitepants and #gypsumskirt patterns! Thanks for all the love these past 10 years, friends. 💓
