School is Shit

I know that this has been done before, but like I was so angry today. first of all, in my school, there is a sickness spreading and I just realized today how many kids are still coming to school because they know that if they miss school they'll end up failing this quarter. Its the end of the quarter so the grades are coming out and the stress levels are higher than usual. 

example 1: Today while working the bake sale fundraiser for Mexico one of the upperclassmen came out of the bathroom looking like shit. He told us that he had just thrown up in the bathroom and went back at leat five times to do so in 20 minutes. the smell of the food was making him feel sicker and he was having a hard time standing, talking the whole deal. My friend and I kept urging him to go to the nurse/office but he refused because he did not want to miss the last two classes that he had today. 

example 2: this girl in my grade spent at least half of her time in school for the last week coughing her lung out. She also refused to go home because she knew that if she missed her classes she would have a hard time catching up. 

example 3: there were some 5-10 kids that I passed in the hall complaining of aching stomachs and coughing

in the end, even I know that I have a hard time with other things like having a healthy sleep schedule, getting all my homework done on time, and just trying to stay healthy in general. but school just makes all of that hard with what they expect from the students and for some, it's literally killing them. Its gotten better than last year (I only got like 4 or fewer hours of sleep on a normal day even less on finals week) but I know that it will only get harder from here.
