SORRY FOR TAKING SO LONG JUST KNOW ILY. ANYHOO — SOOOOO many possible ways bc it depends on this gal’s relationship w/ him and the crew!!!! tbh everytime it might just end up in romance or blurred lines but it’s all a matter of how does it get there..
honestly i’ve never wrote x reader scenarios even if this one’s bite-sized but i’m still gonna try my best bc the idea is so funny… i’m just going to use y/n and third-person pronouns for the lass. don’t mind this sucky ahh doodle..
OKAY — like if she just so happened to be randomly abducted on some random alien shenanigans, be it the “abducting a cow and accidentally abducting a whole ass human” trope, or “we’re holding you for ransom” and it was love at first sight it’d be ANNOYANCE.
but again, all of that depends on the degree of obsession! is she’s openly showering dabi w/ praises and affection, or showing shyyy nonverbal affection because she doesn’t wanna come off as a freak..
the former earns his annoyance and takes a lot to make him crack because he’ll be the main victim of teasing from spinneraki — i meaaaan, a human seeing dabi first thing and their first instinct is to froth? hmmm curious… but the latter earns his intrigue. he likes when the affection is subtle, far and wide and when you can barely see it because he finds moments when it comes out precious.
now if she just so happened to be crewmates alongside the spinnerakidabi shenanigans, now you have a point of connection. and if she’s entirely competent and can manage her own, he’s entirely into that; if she’s not, now it’s a hassle, but it’s endearing to protect her. either way y/n and him will grow close that way comrades do and NOOOW they’re in love…

YKW i was going to make a separate post for the first drawing but then i realized it’s kind of relevant to ur ask, BEHOLD (from my other au…) drawing dabi w/ an ax is my fav activity but i sucked at drawing that so instead i drew a bloody spinner to go with bloody dabi.
Partially deaf Dabi and spinner who has problems with learning and repeating signs because of his big curled owl claws.
didn’t adhere to the ask COMPLETELY like i wanted to but still definitely implies he’s fumbling his sign language in the ways described!

also in comes the headcanon that dabi can cook quite well, the texture’s good bc he’s more keen on texture, but he doesn’t bother to season bc of his taste buds (or he over seasons)

I GOT ONE DONE, spinner dying dabi’s hair, i’ll get the other w/ dabi dying spinner’s hair done if i ever can, also basically this is a sloppy sketch dump.. i’ve taken a liking to blue ink so don’t mind it!!! ALSO… have no idea how to dye hair.. so spinner’s onto nothing!!!
