At a certain point I started explaining my work/research in physics (quantum first measurement time problem) using Schrodinger's cat thought experiment.

While this helped people understand my work better, it had also led my therapist to think that we're killing cats in the physics department at my university.

The Agony of Choice.

Imagine a cat. Someone opens the door to a frosty blizzard outside. He peeks out, touches the cold, nasty snow with his paw, shakes it off in disgust, and thinks: To be or not to be, that is the question...

Oops, cats can‘t think like that. He just stares blankly outside and decides: stay inside and howl with boredom, or go outside and instantly regret it.

I stand like Buridan‘s ass — a shopaholic ass — in front of two piles of hay, trying to decide which one to choose: the one I have to or the one I don’t have to. I could flip a coin — I have a special one, YES-NO.

Schroedingers Incest : Two identical twins are separated at birth, one lives in wisconsin and the other in LA, they both move to NYC as adults. There they meet, get married, and never know they’re related. As they are identical twins there is no risk for inbred offspring, and because they were separated at birth they have no weird family dynamics due to this. Once they get the D.N.A test they’ll have to break up, but before then it’s technically fine right? Making it a social superposition of being both fine and not fine at the same time, and the wave form will collapse once observed.
