Andromeda (it/he/she/they), also known under their stage name, ANDROI-MEDA (haha because they're an android, get it) is an android pop star in the sci-fi oc verse i've been working on

he was created and developed as a project by a team from MIDAS records, a major record label, to be the "perfect" pop star. in the 7 years since its debut, ANDROI-MEDA has seen unprecedented success. she's bubbly and fun, friendly and graceful, kind to fans, the whole nine yards.

behind the scenes, however, they're bitter and jaded. Andromeda never asked for the fame they were created for, its never had true privacy or connection with others, and he's treated as disposable by the management team at MIDAS. quite literally.

the team makes more money if she can work indefinitely, so doing crazy things like "powering down/going into 'sleep' mode" or "actually getting repairs for damages" is bad for business. it's faster and cheaper to just keep her working until he breaks down, even artificially accelerating its processors if needed, and then uploading whatever memories remained in tact to a new body and moving on.

andromeda is secretly so very angry and scared and has no way to express it because they're the happy bubbly cutesy pop star with no control over their public image or message. when they start developing feelings for an up and coming alien indie-rock artist, who always tells it like it is and isn't afraid of a little controversy, Styx, it can't tell if the feelings are Jealousy, a Crush, or "I want to hit you with a rock".

but that is my little overview about them ! i think hes sooo silly :P its got light up LED panels along its body that change color to reflect their mood and strands of light up fiber optic cable woven into their hair!

Watched the rest of what i missed in the recent episode.

Okay so, the Publishing House is on the surface, but Hinamori's creator home is in Punklorde. That is to say, she can be found both up there and below the surface, without facing any complications.

She default to being on the surface city though.

Sci-fi AU (primarily based on the Progenitor project)

General.

Hinamori is far from human, the dog traits tells that much. In this verse, she is an independent creation from the previous company's owner before it was changed to Zandicorp. She has no connection with who is currently leading this company.

Involvement.

Rather than having ties with a specific group, she stands on neutral ground but leans more towards aiding the Shogunate and just focus on her work at the Publishing House than anything else going on.

Even then, Hinamori serves as a city's archivist, holding onto historical records and so on.

Headcanons.

Although given a name, there is no denying what she is. She is coded as H-09.

Initially built as a caretaker role for who created her, who is still alive but with age catching up, mind you. She eventually got nudged towards taking a job. Even so, there are times she won't be at the Publishing House because of this, because taking care of her creator is still a priority to her, but moreso something she wants to do, no matter how stubborn the old man is.

Don't let her peaceful looks and cool-headed demeanor fool you, Hinamori is a much capable fighter amongst other abilities.

Though she do not permanently side with any factions, she does help the Shogunate whenever she is sought. She happens to have ways from being caught in the crossfire, avoid the enmity between the two factions.

She prefers to use a more traditional approach when it comes to communicating than the uses of electronic devices; real letters that is to say.

Pelts her with a water balloon. He's got another at the ready.

The water balloon would hit the unsuspecting Alice in the face, morphing around the contours of her face, but failing to rupture. It would then down her torso only to make an anti-climactic tumble to the ground. Damn. She was actually hoping it would burst. It was so fucking hot out!

“C’mon, man. Don’t be stingy with the water!” she groans as she picks up the balloon and gives it a squeeze, causing it to burst.

The woman then stands up from her lounge chair, and from underneath pulls out a Super Soaker Soakzooka 3000™ .

“You’ve made a fool of yourself, Wylan. You see, you’ve fallen right into my trap.”

She holds up the toy water gun and brandishes it as if it cost the woman more than $$15. She turns her attention back to Wylan, her lips curling into a smirk.

“I’ve waited a long time for this day. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!”

The woman then charges at her opponent, pumping her Soakzooka and aiming right for him.
