oh, this feels so nice - only one (1!!) more assignment left, the mass media final term paper.

and the science comm reflection journal actually turned out pretty good, at least from my point of view - i would have never thought to integrate Socrates, Seth Godin, Bruno Latour, Steve Jobs and Futurama in one assignment ;-)

what a weekend!

incredibly inspirational keynote speech by A. (and being reminded of the fact that she's born 1990, like my little brother), some drinks with fabulous L., seeing K. again after almost 3 weeks, administrating my homecoming-technicalities with a variety of family members, chatting with glamorous G., editing the mass media team paper, finishing my science paper, AND handing in the journal for av comm.

the downside of all that busy-ness: i missed yoga class today because i was too hungover for the 12:00 session and found out that the 06:30pm session actually started at 05:00pm. gnah.

however, only one week (!) of school left! last day of classes is MON, dec 3rd. ergo: endspurt!

amazing presentation on transgender issues in science comm by colleague D. this WED - in the middle of "transgender awareness week". the mount's LGBT society hosted some little coffee & cake rainbow happening:

including crazy rainbow cake!

R.I.P. (awesome!) carrot cupcake - it had no chance to survive the public speaking class...

endspurt in full progress: less than 1 month in HFX, and i delivered my last presentation at the mount today. and - yeahyeahyeah - getting more and more comfortable with my academic english and b***y words like "totalitarianism" (gnah!). thanks for your patience everyone.

while researching for my science paper about challenges of the digital age and the fight of cyber-oafishness, i finally found some video footage of evgeny morozov's guest lecture in vienna on april 24th, 2012 via world news.
