Bio-Spark 2026 – Life in Every Spark: Celebrating Innovation & Scientific Excellence
The School of Sciences successfully organized Bio-Spark 2026, a vibrant and intellectually enriching Science Fest based on the theme “Life in Every Spark – Biotechnology Talent Competition” on 1st April 2026 at the SGU Seminar Hall. The event emerged as a dynamic platform that encouraged students to explore the fascinating world of biotechnology while showcasing their creativity, analytical thinking, and practical skills.
The inaugural session was graced by the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Parsanjeet Kumar, Respected Registrar Dr. Rajeev Ratan, along with distinguished dignitaries including Directors of various schools, Controller of Examinations, IQAC Director, and Director School of Sciences Dr. Jyoti Chaudhary. Their inspiring words motivated students to pursue innovation and research-driven learning.
A Day Filled with Scientific Exploration & Talent -
Bio-Spark 2026 witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across disciplines, making the event lively, competitive, and highly engaging. A series of thoughtfully designed competitions provided a platform for students to demonstrate their scientific aptitude:
Model Presentation Competition -
Students presented innovative models demonstrating real-life applications of scientific concepts. The competition highlighted creativity, problem-solving abilities, and futuristic thinking.
Poster Presentation Competition -
Participants showcased research-oriented ideas through visually compelling posters, blending scientific knowledge with creativity and effective communication.
Lab Skills Competition -
This segment tested the technical proficiency and hands-on expertise of students, reflecting their practical understanding of laboratory techniques and procedures.
Bio Quiz Competition -
An intellectually stimulating quiz that challenged participants’ knowledge in biological sciences, encouraging quick thinking and conceptual clarity.
Seamless Coordination & Enthusiastic Participation -
The event was meticulously coordinated by dedicated faculty members and student clubs, ensuring smooth execution and active engagement throughout the day. The energy, passion, and competitive spirit displayed by the participants added immense value to the fest.
Recognition & Rewards -
To acknowledge excellence and hard work, winners of various competitions were honored with cash prizes, trophies, and certificates. The prize distribution ceremony celebrated the achievements of talented students and inspired others to strive for excellence.
