I missed my train so wrote a fanfic
Aww waspinator suffer all the time. Let's make a fanfic where he's in a one sided love and doesn't realize he's being used:D
For a better context, reader used to be a scientist but they were discharged after the war was over and now they became an illegal weapon seller/maker. Instead of being someone who is cold but loving on the inside, they're cruel and nasty 24/7 and will probably trade you for a bag of beans
It's an odd feeling, to be the subject of such adoration. Forged in a war, you've never seen someone looking at you with a loving gaze.
Nevertheless, you've never meant to let this insecticon stay with you. Now that you think about it, why did you even bother to fix him in the first place? The dying mech you found at the scrapyard. It is far easier to let him expire and use his parts for a much more useful purposes. The fact he's left dying alone at a scrapyard means he's insignificant. A nobody. You dragged his frame to your lab, planning to just take him apart. This way he could be more useful to society, no?
He woke up on the table. Perhaps he mistook your action. He look at you with hopes in his eyes. And even though he had trouble speaking back then, you could still make out his grateful words. How pitiful. It's because you pity him, wasn't you? Not knowing what you were going to do with him. He thought you were going to help him. What an amusing sight.
And so you abandoned your plan. His injuries were fatal but there are nothing you couldn't fix. You are created to be perfect after all.
Waspinator didn't know who you are. He thought he had ran out of the little luck he had when he collapse at that lonely scrapyard. A place for the abandoned. He had given up. What use is living if life is just going to kick you over and over again. He was so tired and scared.
And then you came.
When he woke up, he thought he would be in afterlife. Instead he woke up on a cold table, with you above him. Did life finally gave him a chance? You were here, trying to help him. He was going to passed out again. His system couldn't take it any longer but he could still gather enough strength to look at you and gratefully thank you.
Waspinator has been staying with you ever since. He's happy to help you in any way. You saved his life, of course he would dedicates himself to cater everything you need. It's not like he would be happier otherwise. You gave him energon and a place to stay. He would forever be grateful to you.
Time after time, he continues to admire your intelligent and diligent. Despite the war having been over, you still continue to dedicate your life to research. He's not very bright nor is he the strongest bot. But he's very determinant to help you in your research. Even when he has to hurt others for it. It was for the greater good after all. You told him they were bad bots and therefore useless to society. It is better this way. And he believe everything you say.
He thinks he love you. He love it when you told him he did a good job. He love it when you patch him up after a fight. He especially love it when you smile at him and said "thank you, Wasp. You've help me greatly." He has never felt so wanted. It feels wonderful to be useful to someone as amazing as you. And everyday he thinks he's falling for you more and more.
You knew you've made a great decision sparing that insecticon. It's tiring to go back and forth to find the stuff you need for your project. Ever since you were discharged, you no longer have underlings to fetch you anything. How annoying it is to do everything by yourself. And now you have someone eager to help you and all you did was fix him up a bit.
How pathetic. To see someone being so oblivious. He's so desperate for any positive action that he clings desperately unto the first one who showed him kindness. Even if the kindness was nothing but a facade.
You know he has fallen in love with you. And what an enjoyable experience it is to be unconditionally loved by someone so ignorant. It's so easy to tell him what to do and you only have to reward him with a simple praise. Sometimes you pity him. You wonder what would he do if he realized you didn't know any of the bots unfortunate enough to land in your sight. You merely told him they were not a good person and he believe every word you said without question. When in truth they were just at the wrong place and at the wrong time. Oh well, it's not like they were innocent in the first place. The war has been going on for so long that it is impossible to not have blood on your servos. Beside, everyone have to retire at some point. You hope he continues to look at you with blind adoration. You'd hate for him to end on your table. It is annoying to be back doing everything by yourself.
