Scintilla Bones (née Flint) was a British pure-blood witch. She was an ancestor of the House of Flint, a family which could trace its magical ancestors back to Ancient times and were at one point called titans. The Flint family was recognised as one of the Sacred Twenty-Eight.
Scintilla was a tall woman standing at seven feet which was not a uncommon trait among her family. She was betrothed to a cousin that also a member of the Flint family. At age nineteen she gave birth to a son who she named Emmett.
She shortly left her home with her young child and pursued her dream of becoming a Curse-Breaker. For many decades she was an active adventurer travelling the globe. She was also known as Amelia Flint to colleagues and friends. A beautiful and muscular woman it was rumored that she had amazing supernatural and instinctive fighting abilities, and tremendously overwhelming physical strength and once lifted and carried a fully grown Welsh Green Dragon.
Years later she married Roderick Bones, and they had three children: two sons and a daughter. Edgar, Amelia, and Marcus Bones.
She was mortally wounded in a duel along with her husband, against the dark wizard known as Lord Voldemort and succumbed to her wounds during the First Wizarding War.
Through her eldest son Emmett she is the grandmother of Marcus Flint.
Through her second son Edgar she is the grandmother of six.
Through her youngest son Marcus she is the grandmother of Susan Bones.
