It wasn’t fair. Why did he get to cage her up? What wrong had she done that she needed to confess. Had caring become a sin now? Was she not supposed to express any worry for those that needed it. Had it been so wrong to be selfless during times of despair?
“To what must I confess? I do not understand!”
Her voice gave way to cries, but they seemed to fall on the ears on nobody. Through pained eyes all she could do was hold onto the bars that confined her to a small space. Her lips quivered and her hands slowly slid down but she pressed her forehead against the metal bar. Was this really her punishment?
But tell her, why, what had she done wrong to deserve it.
“Please!?” She whimpered once more as her grip tightened and she clenched her jaw. “Why?” Tears rolled down her angelic face, but she was far too ashamed to look back up at him again. “What have I done?!”
