Sometimes I think about the contrast between scorpio and karno

Both use the color red in all their imagery.

Both are second in command to the department leaders.

Crabs are related to arachnids

They foil each others character.

Scorpio prayed to be 'clean' and not a human anymore. He wants a different life.

Karno prays to be human because he doesn't enjoy how superficial gods are. He wants a different life.

Scorpio is mean, brutal, and not sympathetic until he is.

Karno is nice, gentle, and caring

S1 S2 etc etc

I really wish we got to see what Scorpio, Dui, Ikky, Teo, Hue, and Leon did with the dark king plotline. Like what were the B team doing if the other 6 were/around with MC. Ik in some of the stories they were investigating/constantly/on site analysis researching ways to avoid catastrophe and patrolling for the dark gods.

It also makes me think of the what if the S1 gods were tasked with protecting mc from the dark king. It'd be interesting to see that turn out bcuz i dont think they wouldve let mc been kidnapped or influenced since they went through their main character arcs before the dark king event started, compared to the s2 gods beginning theirs.

It was also alluded the dark king existed in leons route with Eris becoming corrupted by a "greater influence"

Heavens rift and the dark king might be the same event happening as everything is hitting the fan.

Also on the same side I wish we got like a mini story of the S2 gods in the heavens reacting more to the others getting banished. Like Karno and Zyg being mf nosey and looking in the reflecting pool to see how the others are doing.

Or honestly a story focusing on Partheno, Krioff, Taux, and Aigo bcuz those mfs get nothing.

HC THEORIES:

A few things I believe about the SCM universe as I try to make sense of the lore: (hejhrejhre these r my interpretations feel free to disagree or add on, or even drop ur own interpretations oweuwoewiew)

Tauxolouve is the oldest, and was given to the heavens/his adopted parents when he was an infant. His biological parents were probably left on earth and died when he was a teenager.

The og dark king lore is that Zyglavis felt responsible for spawning the dark king. I like to imagine that Zyglavis probably had a nervous breakdown on earth with all the chaos going on, his powers malfunctioned and spawned the dark king when he was a teenager. (allowing the above statement to be correct).

It's interesting to note that the dark kings design is just a shadowy version of the king (a stressor).

All the gods are in their early/mid twenties when the game takes place in 2015, to match MCs age of someone finished with school and working a job.

All I know is that Lou has to be like 26-28 at most, with Zyg following. Ikky and Partheno have to be 19-21ish. Everyone else is inbetween.

Scorpio is physically the same age as MC.

Aigo is the baby of wishes

Also we're gonna ignore the one krioff story where he mentions the dinosaurs.

timeline theory:

If we're talking the actual formation of stars etc, the gods would have to be billions of years old.

If we're talking about humans?neanderthals starting then they'd be like 50,000ish-280,000ish?

another popular timeline i see is if we align the gods to mythology like figures in history/recorded society so 10,000-5,000 yrs

Also the lore of scm is very vague it could very well have been like an actual mythology of there was nothing then boom something. We also don't know if some gods just aged faster than others due to stress (ex partheno being older than ikky when in the lore he shouldnt)

anyways I love making fake social media usernames for the gods so far I have

Leon, Zyg, Aigo, Lou, Ikky, Huedhaut, and Scorpio. I need to brainstorm the rest.

Relationship charts

So bcuz scm was translated more than once, and across diff platforms (og app, love 365, switch, pc etc etc). There's been many renditions of various facts about the game etc.

Somethings got lost in translation and theres multiple versions of some posts i assume i'm just gonna upload the relationship charts from the wiki.

Little ramble on water boy 2 and red string cutter and their powers

The Goddess of Fate's power was the ability to change the future/fate of anyone. In some of the other gods stories it kind of seems like her power was just giving people a choice. I like to believe that MC has that power still but its more toned down as in she just talks to people about what choices they can make like idk telling leon to not kill everyone and wipe the universe teehee.

We see her power work in every story intentional or not. Maybe it was the king using the help of her powers to decimate the underworld or the simple acts of kindness performed through MC. Anyway, it can go into theories of dominos falling or butterflies flapping their wings that Clotho's power was very strong and had lasting impacts on a persons future.

Hue's power is clairvoyance, granted he can't use it without touching the person but he could still see into the future. He keeps to himself when he does this, only preparing for the inevitable.

I love that Huedhaut was the one to help Clotho figure out how to use her powers and incidentally was one of the first people who had his fate 'changed'. Whether his fate was actually changed by her or it was just him trying to create a logical answer to him catching feelings is wild.

One of my fav excerpts of them is I think in one of Hue's stories he gets surprised accidentally reading Clotho's future. He saw that they were dating before he even knew they were. Ended with both of them getting awkward about it and just acknowledging 'hey we're dating', and along the lines of him saying 'i've never had my own future spoiled'.

TLDR their relationship

One of the reasons Hue fell in love with MC/Clotho was because Clotho always forced Hue out of his comfort zone (at a reasonable level) and was his total opposite. Something refreshing, sun and moon.

Clotho definitely woke up Hue in the middle of the night to ask if he would still love her if she was a worm (and him in a begrudging state of total confusion would say yes, he loves them in any form, he loves their soul etc etc).

It's also to note that her power literally interrupts his. He can't see/predict the future if it's always changing. It was unpredictable for him. Which ties into the philosophy he learnt when we see him in S1 that he doesn't know how to process the illogical and irrational. He also gets a bit mad at MC when she brings up the concept 'fate' once again being a theoretical concept not set in stone. Huedhaut tries to grab onto any reason when it came to an emotional experience and it left him with centuries full of grief as to why Clotho did the things she did.

In a sense, Huedhauts season 1 reads like a ghost story. Clotho is the ghost that haunts MC, Hue, and some of the other gods. There's a famous quote by David Foster Wallace that says:

"Every love story is a ghost story"

Clotho haunts the narrative, and surely haunts Hue. Those versions of the goddess of fate with the god of Aquarius doesn't exist anymore, yet they still have a very persistent figure in the story. Clotho gave up (not sacrificed) herself/powers because she wanted humanity to feel the love that Huedhaut gave her, her last thoughts were literally of her and Huedhaut hugging the morning prior as she found comfort in the absolute. Huedhaut was near her/watched as she faded from existence. Everything she did, Huedhaut took it personal as Clotho's decisions were purely emotional.

Whether it was inconsistent writing or intentional, Hue's reasonings/graspings at Clotho changes throughout the story from (TLDR SUMMED UP)

"Oh gods I desecrated myself for love" "Did she love me or was she unhappy and decided to do that" blaming himself for not stopping her/finding a solution/not being smart enough at the time

it changes in his route a few times but I think its a realistic depiction for someone who didn't get closure and is heavily focused on reason. tldr im rambling love overcomes as a theme and love is good. Voltage I am begging please give Hue a good update also redo his promise of infinity.

hue and clotho/mc have that doomed yuri type beat also something about them just spreads tragedy i love them i have like 3 scm aus and one of them is dedicated to them entirely.

Crack Theory

Scorpio (before becoming a god): "Thank the gods have heard my prayers. No more hurting others, I will be freed of the cruel and harsh ways of being a bad human and given a new chance."

Star-crossed myth has many literary devices. The themes of Orihime and Hikoboshi/ the star-crossed lovers trope. Hints of Romeo and Juliet. MC being the hero most of the time goddess of fate whatever. The gods being plot devices, forces of nature, important characters.

Sure you could say the Dark King is the ultimate villain of SCM but he doesn't do anything. I would even argue that some of the 12 gods themselves are antagonistic at times like Leon and Zyglavis, but they eventually redeem themselves. BUT you know who I believe is the ultimate antagonist of the game?

The king. Fuck that dude. None of the 12 like him, most of the interactions the gods have they're all super uncomfortable with him. I don't like him. I'm so happy his ass retires in Leon's route. I hope Leon undoes everything the king put in place to spite him bcuz thats leo energy right there.

He's written as an allmighty being who makes the rules to when it entertains him. Ik for a mf fact he made some of those rules up for the heavens to spite others and probably undid the rule the next day /lh. I imagine one day Zyglavis comes out saying he enjoys idk something simple like purple flowers. The next day purple flowers are banned in the heavens just for fun.

Like there's so many instances with all 12 gods that the king just does them dirty for no reason. I don't blame Tauxolouve for switching sides in his route when the king denied protection to his parents and used the 'well i didnt kill them the dark king did' excuse. Ichthys is uncomfy around him. Scorpio does not like him. I bet Zyglavis got beef too. I don't blame Partheno for trying to bring down the heavens when this mf is in charge. Also the king KNEW Partheno was mf plotting everything and didn't do anything until the VERY LAST MINUTE. Dui got banished to earth with the entire guilt of his past actions for the king to just say jk it wasnt that. I don't blame Huedhaut for raising his voice and becoming erratic when people have to get sacrificed in order to fix things. I don't blame Leon for being so arrogant and mean at first when he was probably coached by the king to be the next king. Denying MC immortality for being 'too selfish' in some of the routes when Ik some of the mf 12 for a fact are equally as selfish too. His last words to Clotho before she died was "Hope you aren't mad at me :(((". LIKE SIR? How are you in charge of a higher universal plane and everything STILL has problems.

you'll never guess who's main story I just finished that convoluted the lore theory 😭😭 how tf does the game just drop 'oh yeah there's more people in wishes/punishments and its common for families of gods to all share the same constellation in their eyes'. I was out here thinking everyone was UNIQUE. How does one even get a divine power 😭

I'm starting to think the departments weren't made to keep humans in balance but to mf contain the 12 gods from doing stupid shit.

I liked Krioff's character a lot but his story was ok.
