"Who?" Garrus shrugged as his gaze darted between faces at the bar, not sure which woman the biotic was referring to at that particular moment. There was a woman who came around earlier who did seem to be hitting on him, or at least, seemed like she was. But that woman was already long gone, having left the bar shortly after their brief interaction. The turian was rightly confused, and he decided to ask Kaidan for clarification.

"That Asari that was talking to me earlier?" he asked, one brow plate raised inquisitively. "Pretty sure she was just being nice. Not my type anyways." Garrus wasn't always the best at reading body language, particularly in species that weren't turians, so it was entirely possible that that woman wasn't flirting with him at all, or she may have even meant her comments for Kaidan. Either way, it didn't answer his question. Looking through his visor, Garrus located Shepard idly standing up at the bar waiting for a drink, and suddenly it was clear who the other man was referring to.

"Wait--Shepard?" He did his best to appear flabbergasted at the idea, though he wasn't sure he had Kaidan convinced. "She--I--why would I ask her out?" Keep calm and cool. "Pretty sure she's not interested in me, Alenko." Why would she be? Despite the idea of her being interested in him in a romantic way seemed completely implausible to him, he still couldn't tear his eyes away from her as she took her drink from the bartender.

Once he realized he was very blatantly staring at his commanding officer, he straightened up in his seat and shifted his focus back to his squadmate. "Did she, uh, say something? About me?" He had to know. He felt somewhat odd having this conversation with Kaidan since he had always suspected something happened between him and Shepard, but still, he had to know.

"Yeah? Apparently, the alliance thinks otherwise." The recovering pilot scoffed. Quickly followed by a notable wincing as a bandaged hand moved to his broken ribcage.

Almost two months had passed since the Normandy had gone down over Alchera. The first of those had passed by unconsciously due to being put into an artificial coma to give him a shot at healing. The officials had collected the surviving crew's testimonies only to welcome him back with the result of being grounded until further notice.

If Joker was honest, he couldn't care less about that at the moment. Partially at least, given that the doctors' prognosis for him to return at any helm in the near future was more than bleak because of his own injuries. The Alliance at least gave him a target to direct his feeling about being lost. Haunted by the ghosts of ones fallen due to his stubborn ass. "Well, thanks. I guess."

He let out a sigh. Rubbing his forehead awkwardly while Jeff gave him an apologizing look for what his friend had to endure thanks to him. It wasn't fair to keep giving Kaidan reason to worry about him while he was obviously still grieving himself.

11. Do you welcome duplicates of your character or stay away from them? I welcome them! First, because I usually write more than one character in a fandom, I don’t want to limit myself. For example, I won’t prevent myself from following you and writing with you just because Kaidan is one of my muses, too; I have many other Mass Effect muses I can throw at your Kaidan and I love doing so! Also, I think each portrayal is valid and unique. I don’t think we need to comparison. Everyone has their own headcanons, and they’re all interesting, no matter if we agree with them or not.

12. Do you prefer writing main or minor canon characters? I honestly love writing both ? I feel like it’s sometimes harder to write main characters because more people write them, but on the other hand, people are often more interested in writing with them, too. The main characters I write are usually more popular than the minor characters I write because of that. However, I really love writing minor canon characters and expand their canon, because they often don’t have much of a backstory or anything like it, so it’s always so interesting!

Shepard hums, before nodding. She moves to the side, allowing the --- major, now right? To come inside. “Yeah.” She says, clearing her throat. She’s been wanting to speak with him for a while now, but she's not had much free time on her hands, not with Earth under siege, and Tuchanka and then the Citadel coup ---- she never liked Udina, but she didn't think him capable of betraying humanity like that, allying himself with Cerberus. 

Once he's inside, she moves to step closer to the giant fish tank. Her hands cross behind her back in a typical military pose. Her gaze lazily follows a red fish around. “I wanted to apologize to you.” She says instead. She still doesn't look at him. The fact that she would have pulled the trigger on him if he hadn't backed down during the coup eats her alive. “And to thank you. I know it wasn't easy to trust me, not when you had to protect the council and I was pointing a gun at them.”
