Tony/Pepper/Rhodey soulmark fics? 👀

Anon, I really, really want to tell you that there is a ton of amazing fic.

Sadly this is all the soulmark fic filtered to Tony/Pepper/Rhodey and it is all of six stories and three of them are not Tony/Pepper/Rhodey-centric.

I can, however, tell you that all three of them delighted me beyond all measure, scratching exactly the itch I had for them, so I endose them wholeheartedly and you should definitely go read them and then come back here and headcanon-jam with me about soulmark stuff because despite myself I am super into it right now.

(I mean, anyone can feel free to headcanon-jam without reading these too. I just don’t want to deprive anyone of genius.)

Oh, it gets … weird. So. Yeah, I still dislike MC #1. But.

Well, I'm intrigued enough that I'll probably check out the other books once I recover from this one. Yeah, MC #1 is a sexist pain in the ass and I don't like him at all. But at the same time I was really hoping he would finally be happy? And then shit hits the fan and... yeah. Sigh.

I READ THAT AND THE SEQUELS and it is SOOOOOO freaking dated but i love it anyway. (also it makes me want to run.)

I had no idea there were sequels, omg. I think I need some time to recover from this first book before I seek them out. I mean, I totally saw what was going to happen to MC #2 coming from a mile away, but he was the only redeemable character in the book, so now I need some time to process before I venture further...

YAY I GOT ONE YOU ARE THE ACTUAL BEST

Describe your comfort zone—a typical you-fic.

There are two kinds of me-fics. Completely adorable, silly things that make my readers grin like an idiot in public. Usually this type of fic is gen teamfic. There's a good chance the media is involved somehow. I get reactions like, "oh my goodness, I was on the train/in the waiting area at the doctor and everyone was staring at me because I was laughing." Or, the other type, the angsty type, the type of fic that gets incoherent comments that are basically people whimpering and crying and cursing me. I get reactions like "this is completely beautiful but you are a horrible person." Luckily for my readers the fluff tends to outnumber the other kind by at least 3 to 1.

Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?

IDK if it counts as a trope, but I'd love to write a fic that isn't actual prose. I want to tell a story through internet posts and texts and letters and phone conversations and actually have a cohesive narrative.
