"how did this even pass" not to sounds like some conspiracy spouting guy but its in the companies interest to make more money and its the larger internet companies interest to get faster services to get more money and theyve got a pretty massive influence (im interested to see how these rules will effect the internet in contrast with the EU and non american stuff)

oh yeah, the cable companies definitely want to earn money out of what they can... but I'm still surprised that they'd do this.. It's like the government tries to take whatever they find for themselves. Then they want to keep it from their citizens unless they pay for it, only to increase the income they get from the things that should be given to everyone for free (e.g. professional medical help, and now access to anywhere they want on the internet).

It's stuff that this that makes me pity people who live in the united states, as there are so many flaws that it would be better off to just make the government fall and rebuild itself piece by piece, starting with the basics... (and it makes me glad that I live in a much better country! 8D)
